The Tip Board
I love eggs but they are a pain to transport when headed out to the woods. So I came up with this: Break all of your eggs into a Nalgene (or similiar) bottle and add your seasonings of choice (personally I like some salt, pepper, a little cayenne and some milk) Throw on the lid and toss it in the cooler. When breakfast rolls around, shake it up, pour out what you need in the pan and put it back in the cooler. No mess, no broken shells. Easy.
As long as you keep them cold-it's a great idea!1 Thanks!!
As quiet as its kept, eggs in their shells will last over twenty days without refrigeration. Just turn them over every other day and keep them in a cool dry place. As long as the inner membrane of the shell is kept moist air molecules cannot pass through the shell to spoil the egg. Long distance sailboat cruisers have kept eggs in this way for over a month without refrigeration.
