Eyewear Retainer

I recently purchased a nice pair of Costa Del Mar polarized glasses. I love them, but they were a little pricey. For this reason I bought a pair of croakies to protect them from falling into the water. However, it struck me that this would protect them as long as the croakie was around my neck. Chances are it would be, but just in case, I made it buoyant. I did this by getting a nice sized cork from a wine bottle. I drilled two holes in it and threaded my croakies through it so they were perpendicular to the cork. This way, they will never come free of the cork. I then painted the cork a neon color. This way if my nice glasses ever come off into the water they will not only float, but will be easily visible in the case there is a current.

Good idea, should work. I had a pair of Blue mirror Costas I'd won in a tournament but could not wear. I had them in a garage sale with the inlaws for 100.00, half of the actual value. While I was inside the house for a fast break, an inlaw sold the glasses for 1.00. Had me fuming, someone got a very nice pair of quality glass for 1 bill = unreal...
