how to make your own shooting rest

when you get a gun the first thing you want to do is shoot it and sight it in. however shooting rest are so expensive so why not make your own.
first, salvage two square or rectangle pillow cases about 1 ft by 1 ft
second put two or three 10in by 10in by 2in blocks of wood inside the pillow case. warning! the size of the pillow case depends on the dimensions of the wood you use!
third leave room in the top of the case and pour enough sand into the top to provide the cushion you need for your gun
