HOW TO REPAIR FRAYED SHOE/BOOT LACES

1. Cut off frayed end of lace and wrap tightly with scotch tape, making sure to extend tape past end of lace about one inch.

2. Install on the lace a ¾ inch long piece of electrical shrink tubing of the appropriate diameter size, using end of tape to pull the lace into the shrink tubing.

3. Heat the shrink tubing with a hair dryer until it shrinks to fit the lace.

4. Trim off excess tape and your “new” laces are ready to use.
