The Tip Board

Ice fishing

Uploaded on November 13, 2009

I take 3/8 inch screws (those with hex heads) and screw them into the thick/heavy lugs on the bottom of my boots making a very effective anti-slip sole for walking on ice.
Number used is optional. make sure they're short enough so they don't penetrate into boot bottom. Can be removed so boots can be used for other than walking on ice, re-installed when needed.

A 3 inch piece of "painter tape" put on the end section of a fishing rod between the line and rod,(evenly folded on /over rod standing up like a flag) when fishing without a bobber gives a better view of the rod tip to see "gentle-light" bites. Removes easily from rod, leaves no residue.

RE-loaders: If powder seems to "stick" and annoy you in your funnel, a quick wipe with used "Bounce" or any other anti-static cloth used in your dryer will make your funnel slippery again instantly, and for a long time.
