The Tip Board
Whenever I go ice fishing I always struggle with the containers my wax worm, spikes, or mousies come in. I either crush them in my pocket, lose the lid, the bait freezes, or the wind blows it over.
This year I am emptying my bait into some empty "hockey puck" size hair gel containers with twist off lids. I even glued two of them together (bottom side to bottom side so I can keep two different bait types.
This solution keeps the bait insulated (most of these containers are double walled), easy to open, refrigerator safe, crush proof, the wind won't blow it away, and it floats!
Old cans of chew work as well, and they're small enough to keep in a pocket where they won't freeze unless you do.
