The Tip Board

Remove fletching easily

Uploaded on August 10, 2009

I need to put some new vanes (Quickfletch) on my carbon arrows and was looking for a stripping tool only to find they run anywhere from $10 (for blades) to $33. I took a new hookblade from my toolbox and loaded it into the utility knife and it did the job quite nicely.

This is a hook blade:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005QVQV

Fits into a utility knife. Looks a bit like a gut hook (point is too sharp to use as a gut hook, though).
