Sleep with your socks on

Uploaded on February 12, 2009

I know it sounds uncomfortable but you stay alot warmer because that is also where you lose body heat. Do this and you will be a happy camper.

That is true, but make sure they're clean socks, not the sweaty ones you wore all day.

I always get dressed for the next day the night before. That way I have nice clean sleeping cloths, I stay warm, and when it's time to get up I don't have to strip down to nothing in the freezing cold.

Good idea. Just don't use wet ones.

I always take a set of sweatpants/jacket with hood/shirt/socks and a toque for the specific purpose of wearing inside my sleeping bag.
This can add another 5-10* to your sleeping bag rating plus it has the added bennifit of keeping the bag cleaner. It keeps you warmer when you have to get up in the middle of the nite to answer nature's call!!
