The Tip Board
We have to walk about 40 yards through knee high water to get to one of our best blinds. Through this 50 yards every step you take the muck sucks your foot into it a good 5-6 inches. I don't know about you but my waders don't hold too tight to my foot, and I'm constantly stepping out of them. This wouldnt be so bad if I wasn't carrying my gun, deeks, blind bag and chair. So this past summer, as part of blind upgrades we sank about 5 or 6 wood pallets into the ground and weighted them down. (they wanted to float). Now we have an underwater sidewalk through the worst of it.
Hope this helps at least one of you out there.
Take care and happy hunting.
