Wine bottle cork

After finishing off a good dinner accompanied with your best vintage wine, save the cork and put it in your tackle box. I like to troll for Kokanee salmon. After the fourth or fifth fish it's a good idea to re-tie your hook. I reach in my tackle box for the cork, and sink the hook into it. It helps steady my re-tying and makes the job go easier. It also helps in pulling the knot up more snugly without hooking myself!
