I've often wondered why bass fishing tournament organizations are prejudiced towards fly fishing. Is it because the money sponsors don't make any money from fly fishers so they don't want them involved or is it the misconception that fly fishing in the same boat might interfere with the conventional fisher? Well, this new movie from award winning filmmaker Jamie Howard certainly dispels the latter:

Check out the trailers and if your in the LA area, the world premiere is next Saturday (Oct. 17th) in West Hollywood. You can get more information at the Fishermen's Spot or Bob Marriott's fly shops. Sounds like a lot of fun as well as some great prizes are going to be given away, including a new Sage rod. I'm really anxious to see if this movie softens some of the feelings towards fly fishing in tournaments, especially in organizations like the ABA which strictly prohibits fly rods and ESPN BASS which only lists "casting, spin-casting or spinning rod" as eligible.
