Deminishing Striper Population In East Coast Waters

Uploaded on February 07, 2010

I was reading an article in the Boston Sunday Globe about a deminishing population in the striped bass fisheries. They were almost gone in the 80's but were replenished. But now the same thing is happening today. One man said he caught 100 to 150 stripers a year but now caught 30. Now, a bill was passed to keep 1 bass a day, instead of 2, hoping to help the species. Hopefully, the stripers will grow to a larger population because striper are my favorite fish to catch, just like other fisherman, and they are a beautiful fish!
