FALLEN HERO ALERT!

Captain, and later Major Robert Howard was my Company Commander at Company C, 75th Inf (Ranger), Fort Benning, Georgia in 1973-74. A finer man, a greater human being, nor a better soldier has ever walked among us. Tough as nails, walked quietly, fair with us hooligans, never let a man down. They darn sure don't make them like him anymore.
I can say without reservation that I have never been more proud to salute anyone than Bob Howard.

Damn double post...how embarrassing! No sign, please!
Thanks to you and Bob. I left a lot of fine GI"s in Vietnam when I left there. The proudest thing in my life is that I am a veteran. I salute you and Bob and everyone who is wearing a uniform now or ever has worn one. That is why we are a free nation and we need to try to keep it that way.

I would not amount to much more than a hangnail or a stray whisker compared to Bob Howard. May the Lord bless and keep him.

Rangers Lead the Way... We lose alot of good men and women each year. It is up to us to bear witness and keep them alive in our memories and stories.
He like many of our finest and bravest will never be forgotten by those who wore or wear the uniform and carry on.
Drive on Ranger Drive on Your endeavers on earth are over and your troubles and worries have set you free for eternity.
May you find peace.
Blessed is the Peace Keeper, for they will stand at the right hand of GOD!
