Gun and safety issues

Uploaded on February 01, 2012

I find that as our younger generation get the interests of guns they tend to be a little more reckless about firearms and guns in general. and as we become reckless so do our parents here are some of the important rules I can think of.

ALWAYS POINT THE GUN IN A SAFE DIRECTION.

DON'T AIM AT ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT TO SHOOT.

ALWAYS ACT AS IF THE GUN WAS LOADED.

WHILE TRAVELING KEEP YOUR GUN UNLOADED.

Follow those and you will be alot safer.

You forgot a couple:

Keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger gaurd until you're on target and ready to shoot.

Be sure of your target, and what's beyond it.

Here are the 4 Weapon Safety Rules that the Marine Corps. always taught me. We would recite these 4 Weapon Safety Rules before we would every fire a round downrange. We would also add one at the end just for good measure.

1. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
2. Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to destroy.
3. Keep the weapon on safe until you are ready to fire.
4. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you intend to fire.

*5. Know your target and what lies beyond it.
