Lion and Grizzly Hunting in Ohio

Uploaded on October 19, 2011

I guess mostly they've gotten some wolves and lions but there are lots more out there to bag, grizzlies and black bears.

http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/10/19/deputies-hunt-big-game-on-th...

If anyone shoots a tiger it will be one of the few shot legally in recent memory.

Personally I think it's a crime to keep large wild animals caged just because some irresponsible animal nut decided they couldn't keep them any more. There is a large operation about 40 miles east of me, I think they took all the big cats off a South African circus as well as umpteen "rescues". Notice there are wolves in the mix? Wolf lovers are a breed unto themselves. Pups are cute until they become full grown and people realize they can't be house broken and are liable to bite.

Hope the deputies get to keep the skins.

Read the comments section to the CNN story, it's priceless. People just can't believe they are shooting the animals. The police and SWAT were going around with night-vision goggles and "are equipped" to handle the situation. If I ever looked out my window and saw a lion or tiger in my backyard, you could bet I'm shooting 1st and asking questions later!

Tranquilizer gun! It's a horrible waste to just shoot these animals. I can't help but think what if they never find these animals and they start to breed, if they can.

They have all been killed and buried but 1 gray wolf and 1 monkey. There was just a new conference on FOX news. The owner turned the animals out of their cages and then killed himself.

what a waste, I can not say enough...those tigers to be wasted like that...Its just terrible that people are allowed to do the things they want to aniamls...I would have freaked out being in the woods and see one go by,,, too bad...what a jerk. At least they burried the animals on his land too! And to think, all that bear meat that could have been put to good use... what a crime.

The morning on the news they said they found the wolf dead. Only the monkey remains at large.

Da Monkey became big cat food...only an autopsy will find the monkey. Pretty ignorant Ohio laws I would say.

I have to admit if i got the chance to shoot a big game down in texas I would. I cant afford to go to Africa and do it but if they we set loose in Texas I would be hard pressed not to shoot one.But I would make a rug out of it and probably try the cat meat. I am kinda a stickler about eat what you shoot.
