Mt. Redoubt, about 100 west of Anchorage, blew her top again. She's been erupting quite a bit the last couple weeks but there has been nothing in the news. A friend in Anchorage said the ash cloud is heading their way. There's some amazing pix in the Anchorage Daily News and on the volcano watch site if you are interested:

Some of the ash has gone up over 65,000 feet.
im taking an advanced Geology class at vanderbilt right now focusing on valcanism . Redoubt is a very interesting volcano!!! they had to cansel some flights because of that ash cloud
Sad to say but since nobody died the media ignored it.
Wow. Like Jim said glad nobody died.
