I have been a member since 1980@..they do ask for money, frequently, but you can always say NO to that. I have recently signed up 3 co-workers and my youngest son on a special 1 year,$20, membership.
I truely believe the NRA helps protect our rights as gun owners in America. It's all about playing politics, and we gun owners need to have players in place at Washington DC. Not saying agree with the rules, but it's how you play the game. Until something better comes along, I will continue to support the NRA.

I'm a life member of the NRA but still buy my yearly membership. No money in the United States is more wisely spent and does more good for sportsmen than the money we give to the National Rifle Association. For all of you young guys out there, please remember that you probably would not have the right to own firearms this very day without the continued efforts of the NRA.

I read that to become a member it is $35 yearly dues? But I can't find anyware about life time member info. Could someone direct me or post a link I really want to be a member, but haven't found the $35 in my budget yet, as soon as I do I will be a member, If the lifetime membership is reasonable then that would be something to look at in the future. Thanks guys..

The NRA also puts out a pretty good hunting magazine - American Hunter. You can find the American Hunter website at
