Are you sure this is free, I went there and there is nothing saying it is free. I'd hate to get to the end of the year and they send me a bill for $50.

As far as I know it is a 1-year trial membership. I am sure they will send out a request to continue membership after that. I think that the membership is worth the money.

Agre with wallofsam. I went to the link it looks easy to do but I can't afford a 50 dollar bill at the end of the month. Did you do it?

I didn't fill it out. It looks like a lot of such offers on the net these days.

First, I did not see the word "free" anywhere. The disclaimer is "trial".

And, like others, such as "free" credit-report, you have to give them a bunch of info, hit submit, THEN you get the "enter credit card info" screen. Even if you exit, they have enough information to hound you, or sell by list to others.

Selling customer or internet lists is big business now.

Okay, some more information. The trial membership from NRA is legit, as expected. No cost, free, gratis - for one year. The only thing they offer you is an opportunity to extend your membership for 1-year for $25 ... that's $10 off the normal rate. You will, however, get on their mailing and e-mail lists, just like regular members - that hasn't been that bad over the years.

If you are active duty military then the NRA gives you one year free membership. I am not sure where the link is but I have done this and was a member. I think it is a good idea to see what the NRA is like and if you want to pay every year.
