Rabbit Hunting Tomorrow and Monday

Uploaded on January 18, 2013

Looking forward to the first rabbit hunt of the season with my pals from work tomorrow and Monday.  They have some top drawer beagles and we all hunt with .410 handguns (please don't tell Diane Feinstein, I don't want to worry her).  We'll stop at a little country store for breakfast in the morning then it's off to the rabbit cover.  What could be better, at least until my daughter gets the chance to join us?  Regards and good hunting, all.

It was indeed a bright and shiny day and not just with the weather. One of the guys brought his 15 yr. old stepson with him, very polite kid, called me sir (told him that was not necessary) and I was privileged to be there to see this young man take not only his first rabbit, but his first game animal, period. He was as proud of that bunny as I would have been a 20# gobbler with a 12" beard. A short time later he was standing beside of me as we watched the dogs try to sort out a track and he kept on, "this is great, this is just great!". Welcome Ryan, we're glad to have ya.
