reloading for an AR15

Uploaded on March 07, 2012

I have two AR15's one is really just a hunting rifle, and that would be my Remington R15. But I also have a Ruger SR556 that I have set up for troubled times. My problem is that I can't seem to reload for either of these rifles, they both jam a BUNCH!!! with the Remington being much more touchy then my Ruger. Is anyone reloading for your AR15, if so how is it working for you, and how are you doing it? I have 2500 rounds made up for my Ruger, and I don't want to waist any of it. I have Remington brass, and primers, with FMJ bullets 55gr. I have full length re sized the brass, and I just don't know where I'm going wrong. Can any of you get your reloads to work in your AR15 without jamming??

Sounds like a magazine problem.

I haven't had a problem reloading for my AR15. Full length size the brass, and I keep the overall length at 2.200".

When I had my Ruger Mini 14 I had to purchase a set of small base dies and I suspect that you may have to do the same. Semi autos sometimes are a little fussy over reloads. After I started using the small based dies that cured the problem.
