Sportsmen's Act Dead

Uploaded on November 26, 2012

The sportsmen's act just got killed by Republican Senator Jeff Sessions who was mad that it cost a million and a half a year (we spend more than that enlarging the women's senate bathroom) and it increased the duck stamp and Sessions wanted congress to be the only one able to raise stamp prices.

No relief from law suits on lead bullets.

Tens of millions for shooting ranges.

Tons of access to public lands.

I doubt they have time to bring it up again before the new congress. So it will have to pass both houses again. And maybe things won't go as smooth if crazy environmentalists have another year to organise.

Imagine what copper 22 bullets cost? Since when do Republicans vote against sportsmen? Straight party line vote except Olympia Snow who is retiring isn't she? and who comes from Maine where hunting is kind of a big deal. And Barbra Boxer of CA who hates hunting sided with the Rs.

I'll take it all back if they find a way to pass it, but R senators aren't on my good guy list right now.

Wonder what the NRA thinks.

Used to like some of them, and I like them ok when they vote the way I'd of wanted on legislation, but this is the most blatant anti hunting anti gun stance I've ever heard of them taking

more partisan BS. They'd vote no if a Democrat discovered the cure for the common cold.

I figured a state like Wyoming would have been on board with this. But either the senators don't have sportsmen's best interests at heart, or they have other agendas to do with private land and development out here.

I don't recall if this quote is fact or "movie history" but in my "old mind" it goes somewhat like this! The indians said that white man speeks with a forked tongue. As time passes and things change, and lobbiest get richer, I believe it now applies to the elected repersenitives reguardless of their political ticket, or position in office!! I feel better now that I've had my "Fit"
