We will be under attack now.

On the news today 2 students playing basketball were shot at a school in Texas by a couple of hunters hunting next door to a school. One of the boys(14 yrs. old) is in critical condition and the other was shot in the leg. The officials have taken 3 hunters in custody and are still investigating but the way they talk the three men are the ones who did it. This will be a black eye on our sport as if we need another.

Before you hit the panic button, there is more to the story as it developes. Best to wait for ballistics...

Sounds like there were some guys target shooting and an illegal with a scary black gun out wandering around. Doesn't necessarily sound like "hunters" yet to me. They at first thought hunters because the land adjacent is leased to hunters.

I hope it wasn't hunters. Send the illegal back that will take care of that problem, oh we will probably give him a check and a new house and let him stay.

Sheriff Joe from Arizona was testifying in front of Congress today and he said that Obummer might as well erect a big pink sign on the Mexican-Arizona border saying" Welcome all illegals our home is your home." They are questioning some of the sheriffs about their hard stand on the law about illegals. They are following the law but some think that it isn't nice to arrest illegals and jail them till they are deported.

I heard something along that line too, folks think Sheriff Joe is too hard ball. Hey, if you don't like his way of doing things, behave yourself, that ain't hard!

The story seems to have died, the anti hunter type thing with most traction over the past couple days is bear hunting in NJ, wolf culling fixed wing keeping score on fuselage six years ago, and a couple of New Mexico wolf program going nowheres. I have a news aggregator and read a liberal blog that loves anti hunting anti gun stuff.

Off topic but...The story of the border of late is the number of illegal crossers is down to a more than 30 year low. I seem to remember a meeting between Obama and the Pres of Mexico more than a year ago that included some sort of more enforcement along border for decreased guns headed south quid pro quo. Cost of coming north is supposed to be around 5K come February.

I too heard a short bit on the Sheriff Joe story but only part while driving. Said he was getting cut off from the data base that allows for cross referencing immigration status and under federal investigation for racial profiling. The profiling while certainly believable I'd want to see proven and that could be hard, cutting off from immigration info seems nuts. If he's profiling that's bad, if he's repatriating illegals that's the law.

Obama just recently is pushing hard to make it necessary for local jurisdictions to try illegals in court, and have them found guilty before the feds will deport them. Obama knows locals don't have the funds to prosecute many of them, and it will allow criminal illegals to stay in this country.
