Guns

2010 tax on your firearms Is this really true ?

Uploaded on October 13, 2009

Can anyone verify this or is it just a hoax. I recieved this e-mail and am concerned whether or not this is true as probably all of you that will read this will be. If this is true what can be done. This is exactly as the e-mail was when I recieved it . Please READ!! Thanks

All guns to be listed on (2010) TAX RETURNS. Why is anyone surprised? You get what you vote for.

JUST AS I THOUGHT!!! THIS CHECKS OUT ON SNOPES! THEY ARE REALLY DOING IT. THIS IS THE START OF CONFISCATION OF LAW ABIDING CITIZENS GUNS!!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

Now 'all Guns' must be listed

on your next (2010) tax return!
As if we didn't have enough to get upset about! If you have a gun, I hope it isn't registered!
Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.

This bill was introduced on Feb. 24, 2009, by the Obama staff. BUT this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act o f 1986. This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all. Trust Obama ? ..... you must be kidding!

The full text of the IRS amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage,U.S. Senate You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099.. You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.

|

Obama's Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply.
It has begun . . . Whatever Obama's secret Master Plan is....this is just the 'tip of the iceburg!'

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Ac t of 2009.

Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar as a 'minor' IRS revision, and, as usuual, the 'political' lawmakers did not read this bill befre signing and approving it !

To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

-It is registered - you are fingerprinted - You supply a current Driver's License -You supply your Social Security # -You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing -Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. -They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many opt ions to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pas s this along.

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it..

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not..

:

Please.. copy and send this out to EVERYONE in the USA , whether you support the Right to Bear Arms or are for gun control. We all should have the right to choose.

Snopes claims false. Nowadays, the new ones like to claim that Snopes verifies it so you won't check. It worked on the above, didn't it? It started in May, and I heard about it last month.

Don't quit worrying, however. There's been rumors about weird laws for decades. A few have come true.

From what little I know or understand, it is true but stands a slim chance of survival. Of course tho, we never thought Obama would get elected either.

How could this be regulated? Are they going to go back through all of our 4473's, and then send jackbooted thugs to our houses to check up? Like I said earlier they will need to bring their scuba gear....

Regulating ammo is a much easier path for them.

We should all stay vigilant.

From: http://www.senate.gov/reference/common/faq/SB2099.shtml

Is it true that . . . Senate Bill SB-2099 will require owners of firearms to pay a $50 charge per gun and list each gun on their federal tax form?

The answer is no. This Internet rumor states that SB-2099 is legislation currently being considered by the Senate. The bill supposedly requires owners of firearms to list on their 1040 tax return all guns they own and then pay a $50 charge per firearm. There is no such legislation by this name in the 111th Congress.

The facts:

The last bill given the number S. 2099 was in the 105th Congress. This bill dealt with federal sentencing guidelines for counterfeiting offenses.
Legislation that the Senate is currently working on will be listed on the Active Legislation page or can be searched for on Thomas. For more information about the legislative process or finding bills, please see the Legislation VRD page.

Honestly,

I really don't know what to believe anymore. I ask the question, Would our currant Government leaders lie about or avoid questions on any bill they plan to implement. I'm not for printing and spreading lies, but I'm not for covering it up either. Thanks for the research, I'm glad the bill is dead/hoax. I'm also glad we still have the internet to debate our views and find some facts.

I think what the founding fathers had in mind was a situation where government was held in check by the people. With an armed population, the things that happened in merry olde England wouldn't be repeated - hopefully. An unarmed/disarmed population (a good example is pre-WWII Germany)can get bullied and hoodwinked into all sorts of things. Look how much (bad) Hitler did in such a short time. The people were powerless to stop him.

If the government can take over the healthcare industry, then it will pretty much do anything it wants. They will have the power to say that firearms are hazardous to your health and then tax you on it by raising costs.

An armed population is made up of citizens... an unarmed population is made up of subjects.

Right now we need to fight this with all we have with our words and votes.

Hitler rose to power under the National Socialist Party in Germany. He was chosen because of his ability to give charismatic speeches and to sway the people. His biography, Mein Kampf, told of his struggles and what was wrong in the world. His party rose to power by blaming the rich capitalists (Jewish bankers for the most part) for stealing from his countrymen. I'm not saying we're there yet, but it definitely raises the hair on the back of my neck.

Speaking of this, it is a great reason to get and stay informed about what our representatives are doing. It's always easier to nip something in the bud than to try and take the whole tree down later. I know most of that crap is BORING, but thats how the unscrupulous slip things by us.
People have given their lives for our right to do this, don't let boredom or laziness make those sacrifices a waste.

Dateline: 1775 Lexington and Concord in the American Colony, The British Crown has told the American colonists to surrender their arms and stores of powder and shot. Colonist and silversmith Paul Revere rides through the night to warn the "Well regulated militia" in Lexington that the British are coming and an armed citizenry turn out on the village green and defy the Crown with armed resistance at the Concord bridge. A shot is fired, The shot heard round the world, and the American revolution is begun. I for one am willing to let my door step be the next Concord bridge. They can have it when they pry it from my cold dead fingers.

Sounds about right . Seems there is a "biggest idiot" competition in D.C. Right. It could best be compared to the taxation of large-breed dogs in Northeastern Canada which led directly to the extinction of the Lesser Newfoundland, which is the precursor to the Labrador Retriever, in 1986. That's pretty recent stupidity and devastation. The "Labradors" at Buccleuch Castle in Scotland are still pure for the Lesser Noofie, or St. John's breed of Water Dog. Obviously, the breed could have been re-invented in an unpolluted state. They were with their original white markings. duckcallsgoosecalls.com/
