I absolutely pray he fails! I think the best argument I have heard for this is from an interview with Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Do I want socialism to succeed? do I want stricter gun laws? Do I want the government to have more control over my personal life than what it already has? The answer is a resounding NO. So if Obama fails in his attempts to "change" this country in the ways just given I am all for it. In actuality The nation would a WIN if Obama fails. I want my children to grow up in the nation and country that I learned about in history. I want the land of Lincoln and Washington, Sam Adams and Patrick Henry. I want to continue to have the country that was founded on Biblical principles and a yearning for freedom and to escape the yoke of oppression. I love this country with all my heart and it pains me to see the direction it is headed in. This is my opinion on Obama.

I think it's a bit early to tell. I don't agree w/ all the spending, I do agree w/ his "go ahead" to the troops on dealing w/rescuing the captain from the pirates, I do agree w/his response to natural disasters, I do agree w/ repealing Bush's tax cuts to the wealthiest 1%, I don't agree w/ letting AIG execs keep their bonuses "because it's in their contract", while forcing the automakers to renegotiate their contracts w/the UAW thus taking money and benefits from me.
I still have a job, I still have my guns. Until either of those changes, I say it's too early to grade.

For the first time, I am afraid for the future of this country. I thought that Jimmy Carter was an ineffective, naive president, but Obie makes him look like a genius statesman. The crap that has been passed by the congress at his initiation, his apology tour, bowing to the Saudi king, hamming it up with Chavez, all add up to a person who is an empty suit masquarding as a president. We can change the congress in 2010 and send Obie back to Chicago in 2012. Just pray that we still have a country by then.

I have no problem giving Obama an F - grade. He is the worst in our nations history...A President and folks he can choose in his Administration/cabinet that can be experts in their field should know, without question, that you can not tax payer spend into prosperity getting out of a recession! That is Jr. High level stuff. You have history to go on. They had to do all they could...reduced taxes on corporations, streamlining regulations allowing our companies to get to market fast and be able to compete in a global economy...they DID JUST THE OPPOSITE!!!! And now we are in a state of collapse!..federal, and states. Now Obama is shifting his position on the need to reduce the massive debt he created, in order to get re-elected but ......tooooo late Bud..you get schitcanned in the next election along with a lot of other liberals that supported that concept of tax payer spending. 16% of workers now without full time jobs?..the worst since the Great Depression, and he was at the helm, and supported it.

There is no way to judge a president 2 years into his term. It will take at least a decade to be able to see and judge the effects of most of his policies. That goes for Republicans and Democrats.

If you look at a list of the yearly deficits, the largest ones occur when there was a Republican in office and that one of the main reasons ours is so large now is because we are fighting two unfunded wars that cost billions of dollars a day.

Please, get real. Congress spends the money, and democrats have controlled congress much of the time over the years. Secondly, it is a known fact that liberals want to cut back the defense of this country, and spend the money on social spending re-distributing the wealth creating votes that just increases the number of poor folks...that is a fact, and easy to see looking back.
Obama in support of the left controlling congress created more debt in one year than all the Presidents added up did since George Washington!!! !.5 trillion in one year, and followed that up with 1.5 trillion the next year!!!!! Complete bad economics, and policy by anyone's standards other than a far leftwing liberals perspective which you seem to be. And judge what happened by looking back..it only worsened the economy according to Obama's own statements!

The biggest portion of Bush's debt was created after 2006 when the democrats took over congress. Bush brought down the unemployment numbers to 4.5% and growth running at a GDP of 4.5 % the longest, and the strongest run of economic prosperity in our nations history..something like 54 straight months of good economic growth....and it started right after the tax cuts were passed. Bush also had Katrina that created massive debt...but nothing like Obama has created. The Iraq war, that democrats supported, cost a 1/3 of the debt Obama created his first year alone. I wasn't a real strong Bush fan, but grew to like him a lot more after witnessing Obama, and what he has done to the country. Bush filled the state and fed. tax coffers with lots of money after the tax cuts were passed. But that has been the history of tax cuts..lower them and the govt take in more money..spreads the tax base with more people working. Democrats, the liberals anyway, just never get it.

Interesting how Libya may turn into a civil war, their citizens dying for freedom, and liberals here are willing to support Obama and have their freedoms removed. Same with other countries in the Middle East...Iran, Egypt, Tunisia. But Jamesti, says to "go easy" just slowly remove our freedoms..kinda funny

My thermodynamics professor had a scheme where he added points for correct information as opposed to taking off points for incorrect information. He wouldn't hesitate to fail 60% of the class (which he has done for entire courses). I don't know how he was able to still keep his job in this world of "not failing students" other than the fact that tenure exists for good and bad teachers. In that kind of system, Obama would grade a 0 because writing your name on the paper only tells the professor who is incompetant.

Ableskeever...When Obama was a Senator, he seldom even showed up to vote. He was a no show most of the time. Collected a salary, and he stayed home. He did help to get a bill passed that included his pork additive of several million dollars for a big hospital in Chicago, and it provided Michelle a VP position in the Hospital...$175K a year "job."

I don't care to look back at prior posts, BUT, when you except liberal policy you forfeit freedoms. Obama is attempting to remove lots of freedoms of choice that a consumer would make...can I afford and want to buy a bigger car, or is a smaller, more gas efficient car more to my liking..and many more consumer choices Obama wants to remove. The left is all about govt control. Funny that the folks in the Middle East will risk their lives to have freedom of choices, and you seem willing to go along, or compromise with liberals regarding many of our freedoms.
