I vote most of the dialogue from the high mountain meadow between Rooster Cogburn and Lucky Ned Pepper just before the horseback shootout in True Grit. "FILL YOUR HAND, YOU - - - !" Rest in peace, Duke, we miss you.
Dirty Harry, I know what your thinking......
“There are two kinds of people in the world, those with loaded guns, and those who dig.”
-Clint Eastwoood Good Bad and Ugly....
"Lone wolf Mcquade" Chuck Norris and L Q Jones are at the horse race track. Barbara Carrerra rides by the two on her horse, Jones says " How'd you like to bite that in the ass develope lock jaw and be dragged to death"
"Do you believe in Jesus?" "Good you're going to meet him."
Ok a two-liner, maybe; but darn to the point!
"The newspaper headlines said 'Indians vow to endeavor to persevere.' We went home, and thought about it a long time. And when we had thought about it enough, we declared war on the white man."
"Looks like we can't trust the white man, then."
-Clint Eastwood and Chief Dan George in "The Outlaw Jose Wales".
"Do ya' feel lucky punk?". Eastwood/Dirty Harry
"Dying ain't much of a livin' boy" ...Josie Wales to the bountyhunter who said "a man's got to do somethin for a livin" when Wales asks if he's a bountyhunter.

"That's the way it is, I reckon. Just when you get to liking somebody, they ain't around very long."
"I notice that when you don't like somebody, they ain't around very long, either."
-Clint and Chief Dan George; Outlaw Josie Wales.
Note: To me, this movie has the highest number of memorable lines EVER.
Another vote for the horseback shootout between Lucky Ned and Rooster, especially the fill your hans you SOB line.

Gus McRae in Lonesome Dove----"I don't want to go the rest of my lif thinking about what I should've done."
Country Road, this didn't come to you because CMT is currently showing "Lonesome Dove", did it? I watched Gus offer to whip up on Blue Duck along the river while Lorie hid in the brush last night. What a great story! My kids got it for me on DVD. One of those cold wintry days, I plan to get a good cup of coffee and spend an afternoon with Gus and Woodrow.
"I'm your huckleberry". Love that line !
Isn't that the truth!
pretty much anything Clint Eastwood says. or Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump.

Dirty Harry Calahan "Mans GOT to know his limitations"
I would have to agree with many of you : Clint Eastwood has a lot of good lines in a lot of good movies. My personal favorite would have to be 'The Outlaw Jose Wales'
Well it's MR. CHAIN BLUE LIGHTNIN HISSELF, the one everybody's scared of. the two pilgrims @ the tradin post where Josie Wales picks up the squaw & horse for Lone Waddy.

I forget which John Wayne movie it was in but the Duke had just shot a guy and told his partner "Let's got take a look at the dead man". The reply was "How do you know you hit him?" John said "BECAUSE I WASN'T TRYING NOT TO."
007 Pick up a copy of Lonesome Dove in print, it's even better than the movie. There are also three other books that McMurtry wrote that go along with the series. All are entertaining.
Greetings, been lurking around here for almost 6 months, and I finally pulled the trigger on a subscription to the magazine as well as registering. Looking forward to getting to know a lot of you better. My favorite line comes from Silverado courtesy of the Duke, "Set a code of laws to live by.... I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, I won't be laid a hand upon. I don't do these things to others and I REQUIRE the same from them."

"Gentlemen! You can't fight in here! It's the War Room!"

"Bond, James Bond" Any James Bond movie starring Sean Connery.
from "Goldfinger" Bond---"Do you expect me to talk?" Goldfinger--
"No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"
As above almost anything out of Josey Wales.
Where was my mind??????????? RJ Arena is exactly right!! Long live Mr. Connery, and may Mr. Bond grace us with his presence for many more years to come. Thanks for the reminder.
Well, sometimes we get caught up in the western thing, and it is so cool it blinds us. But I look at Bond as a 20th century cowboy anyway. Doing what you have to to get the job done. Having a code you live by.
RJ, how do you like Daniel Craig? He's no Sean Connery, but better than Roger Moore, I think. I read that the Craig movies are more along the line of how Fleming intended the character to be.
007, I am glad you asked. I saw Daniel Craig at the tribute To Connery a few years ago and thought I might give him a chance in the role, I like him.
I never liked Moore as Bond, always thought he didn't take the role seriously enough.
I read somewhere that Roger Moore was considered to be Bond-Lite. Pierce was pretty good, but way too many machine guns. Sean would have used his fists or his wits instead of shooting his way out. Welcome to the 20th century, I guess. If you like to read, be sure to look for the 007 series by John Gardner and then Raymond Benson, if you can find them. They did Mr. Fleming proud. Shaken, not stirred.......................
Another line from 007, after a long ferocious fight in which he barely survives and finally puts the bad guy away. The girl asks if he's dead. Connery's reply: "I sincerely hope so."
Unforgiven.
Gene Hackman: You just shot an unarmed man!
Clint Eastwood: He should have armed himself.
William Wallace: There's a difference between us. You think the people of this country exist to provide you with position. I think your position exists to provide those people with freedom. And I go to make sure that they have it.
"What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. And I don't like it any more than you men." Strother Martin as "The Captain" in Cool Hand Luke

"Failure is not an option." - Apollo 13.
Dirty Harry inspired Clint Eastwoods largest collection of memorable one liners. "Go ahead and make my day." is his altime one in my book!
My favorite movie is Smokey and the Bandit a classic.

Groucho Marx in Horsefeathers: "You've got the brain of a four year-old child ... and I bet he was glad to get rid of it!
It wasn't in a movie, but one of my favorite Marx quotes has to do with hunting: "A moose is an animal with antlers on the front of its head ... and the wall of a hunting lodge on the back."
Paul Newman as Luke in 'Cool Hand Luke'
Prison Captain: "You gonna get used to wearin' them chains afer a while, Luke. Don't you never stop listenin' to them clinking. 'Cause they gonna remind you of what I been saying. For your own good."

A coon hunt is like a fox hunt accept we cut out all the nonsense
The clothes, the music,...... (Chevy Chase in Fletch)
Just saw Gran Torino. Good movie. Eastwood is great as always. Couple quotes:
Sue Lor: The Lutherans brought us over.
Walt Kowalski (Eastwood): Everybody blames the Lutherans.
For this one you got to see the movie for the context (otherwise it's just racist): Walt Kowalski: Oh, I've got one. A Mexican, a Jew, and a colored guy go into a bar. The bartender looks up and says, "Get the f*ck out of here."
Walt Kowalski: [about his son] I worked in Ford for 50 years and he sells Japanese cars.
Walt Kowalski: Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone.
Being a law enforcement officer my favorite has to be Clint Eastwood- " Go ahead punk- make my day".

William Wallace: There's a difference between us. You think the people of this country exist to provide you with position. I think your position exists to provide those people with freedom. And I go to make sure that they have it.
My favorite movie is Smokey and the Bandit a classic.

"It ain't how hard you can hit, its how hard you can get hit and keep going"-Rocky
