Like common sense, an informed electorate is no longer common. The man(or woman) on the street can tell you who got voted off the island on survivor or the biggest loser but can't tell you who is the Vice President or even who their legislator is. Lets hear it for term limits for the House and Senate.

We also need to get the UN out of our country and Illegal Immigrants, Deadbeats and our Crimianl Justice System under control. Want to save money quit payin for free cable, 3 hot meals and put em out on the road gangs cleaning up the roads and freeing up the DOT to fix our crumbling and neglected bridges, tunnels, railheads, levies etc. Mimic/Adopt the taxctics of the Sherrif in Arizona.

It's that daggone political correctness.
Taking down the 10 commandments from historical courthouses. The pledge of Allegiance debacle in the schools etc.
I say it is time for a LEGAL/DEMOCRATIC!!!! purging of our current government.

Moishe, I agree and for so many reasons I whole heartedly support the oath I took especially the part about defending the Constitution. I believe in the 1st 2nd and 10th Ammendments, States rights and there are times I feel I'm doing the same. But I know that we as a whole need to stand up for ourselves and in 2012v hopefully the ones who have woke up from their haze and got a good dose of a reality check will remember this crap and vote in better officials.

You can't totally undo what's been done .. I'm not saying that Republican Pres or Dominant Congress would be any better. But I don't think we would be indebted by the trillions to CHINA!

We need to vote out the problem children.... but that is hard to do at times and some of them pull the wool over alot of peoples eyes with empty speaches and promises to get what they want to only tax the h#ll out of us.
We are not children and do not need the gov't treating us as if we were.
The younger and even a medium population of the older and middle aged generation expect the Gov't to hand them everything hand over fist from welfare (states) to health care, medicare, etc (federal) Hmmm Welfare, Health care, medicare all started by democrats... I think that party should be dissolved.

The Democrats also are the first to make everything about race and the injustice committed by Republicans and also the first to deny any wrong doing though their hand was in the cookie jar as much if not more so... Also they add pork bills to everything they try to pass or pass.

I think if we really wanted a strong rebirth as a nation we as a whole (all races) need to come together and work together and not be divided by the past which is thrown in our faces everytime the Democrats, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, NAACP, ACLU, SPLC get a chance to muddy the water with racism remark to prevent any unity.

I think we need to rethink our world power strategy and go into a period of isolationism to rebuild our foundaries, companies and our pride and quality of products. We need to balance out the trade (import and export ) by matching our prices and tarriffs (taxes) on both imports/exports.

We once dominated the steel, copper, gold, silver and agricultural industries on a global scale not to mention clothing (cotton)

We have become so accustomed to higher pay for less work and companies have become accustomed to more work and cheaper labor (out sourcing) that it's results are catching up to us.

Among the important dates circled in red on my calendar are April 15 when I will join my fellow Americans for a Tea Party tax protest and the first Tuesday in November when we get to vote out the first round of bums. If you're not part of the solution then you're part of the problem. Public Enemy Number One was elected by what? 53%. Now the hardest thing to find in America is someone who will admit he voted for the bozo.

The current Congress will never impose term limitations on themselves. Since the states elect their congressmen, then the state level is where the term limits should begin. If each and every state had a push to enforce rules on their congressional leaders, then we might have something that wouldn't have to be nationwide all at once.

The congressional argument agains term limits is going to be "what if your area likes their congressman and he/she is doing a great job?" My answer to that is to do consecutive term limits. If an elected congressional member is limited to two consecutive terms and must take a mandatory two year break, then we can be sure to get some new blood in there. We also would have to opportunity to get back in those who do a great job.
