Mass. senate race

Uploaded on January 18, 2010

As of this morning, Jan. 18, the Republican candidate Scott Brown has a slim 2-4 pt lead in the hotly contested Mass. senate race to occupy the seat vacated by the death of the long term liberal Ted Kennedy. This is a race that will have political ramifications in the 2010 mid-term elections. If Brown can pull off this miracle win in the "bluest" state in the nation the Obama spending machine may be doomed. The super majority in the Senate will be gone and this seat will more than likely end the heath care disaster. Obama and Bill Clinton have been campaigning in Mass. for Brown's rival, the state AG Martha Coakley and according to the tracking polls(never entirely accurate) her popularity has not risen but has gone down with their arrival! This in itself is good news for those of us who like nothing about the current administration. It may confirm what many national polls are saying and that is that the public is losing all confidence in Obama and his czars.

This is just incredible ... incredibly positive. Scott Brown was on a Sunday morning political program. Sharp guy. People are finally realizing that Congressional races in non-resident states affect us nationally so are sending money in for the campaigns. Elections are less than 10 months away! I think people are truly tired of not just the ineptitude, but the irresponsibility shown by the Democrats. By the way, are they about done spending our money on Boston's Big Dig?

Just wait and see. Brown will emerge the winner by a slim margin and then the state will use up weeks doing a recount while Congress rams through the healthcare bill. Those in power aren't going to relinquish it easily and they won't let the rules of the game get in the way either.

I hope that Mr. Brown is successful in his bid to win this seat .This woman is not my type of person doesn't like to be touched by other people no handshakes and is so out of touch she doesn't even know Curt Schilling.I live in Alabama and watched him as he went on with a bloody sock.

What? You think the Peoples Republic of Taxachusetts will elect a Republican to replace Dead Ted? Think again. They will Acorn the ballot box and cheat the recount just like in the Washington Gov. race in 2004 and 2008.

I'll eat my hat if a Republican wins in Massachusetts!

You have a great point Sir.I can only hope that Nut has rotted. There should be a National Guard on stand by to insure this as well as no voter intimidation as happened in the presidential election

It's 9:20 Monday night and the latest poll give Brown a 7 pt lead. WA raises a very real concern about election corruption. The liberal machine in Mass. will not take a lose of this magnitude without digging deep into their "how can we fix this" bag.

Ain't gonna hold my breath.

When the elected representatives in a representative republic are oblivious to the fact that We The People DO NOT want this health care/tax increase bill We The People need to set them straight. Obama Bin Lyin should consider himself fortunate. The last time Americans were this pissed off there were dead red coats everywhere, And the issue is the same now as then; taxation without representation. The taxation in this bill starts upon passing while the so called reform of health care won't start for another four years. Any poll you want to look at makes it clear that We The People do not want this bill shoved up our collective a__.
