Ever since the new site has been changed to include the points system, it has been the main culprit of many rants and insults. I myself have been subject to many comments about my supposed 'racking up points' when in fact i do no such thing. It almost takes away the whole purpose of blogging which is to say what you think and what your opinion is and not worry about points or other people giving you negatives and such, but that seems to be the problem. People are very worried about their points. I would like to just post whenever i have something important to say, but usually i have different opinions and i like to voice them. This brings people to accuse me of getting points when in reality i have never filled out a gear tester survey or anything. I wish that the whole blog would stay the same minus the points system. They can still use the gear tester thing by looking at posts and figure out who would be the most qualified, not who has the most points.

Nate, thanks for the input. We get where you're coming from, and hope that the readers who don't care about the points system will simply disregard it.
Note that when picking testers we don't just go by point totals alone. We judge by both quantity and quality. If someone is cheating, or obviously posting stuff just to game the system, they won't get gear.
I really don't care about my points. I just like to see whats new on the website. And check out peoples awesome photos.
Oh, one more thing. I don't think to consider posting 3 or four times of the same question or answer cheating.... sometimes. Sometimes the computer is running slow and acts up. It has done that to me alot.
Far as points, I really don't care! Besides, having me test something is like handing the keys to a mechanic to see how good a truck is!
I'm with you, Clay. I could give a rat's a$$ about the points and gear testing thing. I'll be optesting MY gear at every opportunity during the season!
