Let me try understand this reasoning, Obama has filled the White House with his anti-gun,anti-hunting,pro-communist minions, yet Rush is Enemy No.1 to sportsmen because he disagrees with dog fighting (which by the way is against the law, remember anyone by the name of Vick?). Sounds like F&S has become a Trojan Horse for George Soros!! I regretfully have cancelled my subsription to F&S because I cannot support a magazine that is supposed to be a champion for sportsmen and yet goes out into far left field to cherry pick a single conservative who staunchly supports the 2nd Amendment.

All who you listed are Great Americans with the exception of Joe "The Paper Tiger" Arpaio is not on my list of heroes. Why you ask? Back in 95 I predicted two Deputies in District One wouldn't live to see Christmas and I was blown off. District One is also known not like Military Personnel including Joe Arpaio. Of the two Deputies, not only my prediction was right, the way they also died was also correct. One was ran over by a Cement Truck responding to burglary and the other caught a bullet fired through the door while knocking on a apartment door to tell them to turn the stereo down. The shift Sargent did not believe in backup and was a complete idiot!

Teddy Rosevelt was a self admitted progressive,and some of Obamas communist friends Cass Sunstein, Van Jones(self described communist revolutionary) Bill Ayers, communist and terrorist. I realize Rosevelt is kind of a sacred cow but if he wasn't a hunter would we care if a radio host accurately described his political beliefs. F&S failed at and attempt to play both sides of the isle, and reached to fond villand in bothe parties, but when someone is a hero because they went fishing once thats reaching too far. My 2 cents F&S, if it s not something to kill and eat, go bang, or make meat, youh sould proably just leave it alone.

I just canceled my subscription to this magazine due to the idiocy of making Rush Limbaugh out to be a villian, when he is truely a hero for sticking up for our second ammendment rights. Field and Stream, you can take your magazine and shuv it up your ass, I will no longer even open up your magazine, and if i get another notice in the mail from you I will throw it in the trash where it belongs!!

Rush has the largest talk show radio audience in the world, he defined the venue. So, those that don't like him are a distinct minority. Beck is the second most popular TV host in America, second only to Oprah. This really ticks off the progressives, thereby clearly defining them as a distinct minority. Sarah Palin resonates with middle America and that really scares the libs because they can't understand why. Only 21% of Americans describe themselves as Liberals, thank God. Of those a few own guns and hunt or fish, even though their voting block does all it can to place those activities at risk. I guess that we have heard from that fringe group.

Why the magnetism towards these guys? How can you relate to them? While we're hunting, shooting, fishing, and being awesome in general, they're not. They have nothing in common with us. They wouldn't last a minute with us. Losers.

I've been an avid reader of F&S for 40 years and just recently joined the blog. It appears to me that the liberals have hijacked this board. I liked it much better when the hunters and fisherman shared opinions and helpful information. Maybe the Moderator should take the trash out.

The vast majority of the posters are very conservative and are avid outdoorsmen/women. There are a select few however that generally bring nothing productive to the website and don't seem to be that interested in hunting and fishing. I guess it's just something you have to put up with, it's like putting up with mosquitoes while fishing.

Sarah Palin scribbles some last minute points on her hand on the way to the stage and then gives a brilliant speech without need of a teleprompter. Obama gives a talk to a sixth grade class and needs to use two teleprompters. Even with teleprompters he refers to navy corpsmen as corpse-men. He tries to talk without the teleprompter and refers to America's 57 states. And Sarah is the joke? Oh, and she donated her speaking fee back to the Tea Party Movement.

Sarah Palin is such a joke. She was addressing the $600 a head tea-party convention (at that price not what you could call a grass roots gathering) and was attacking President Obama for using teleprompters. At the same time she was referring constantly to her note cards and the palm of her hand where she had written some crib notes. Where does she think she is, 7th grade science class? What she had scribbled on her hand were reminders of her core beliefs. That core must be so deep inside her that Sarah has trouble recalling what they are. She is an intellectual light weight and has no internal consistency to what she stands for compared to her record.

Obama has done none of the things you or Rush accuse him of. I myself have issues with dog fighting. I am not agin Rush for being agin dog fighting. I'm agin him for bein' a lyin' , cheatin, low down, oxycontin swallerin' wife abandoning, uncompassionate hypocritical tool of Rupert Murdock. Politics scarcely comes into it.
As far as the Mormons go, Howard Hughs (being an insane obsessive compulsive genius) liked to hire Mormons (they are -usually- sober and they are trained to shut up and swallow from birth). As a result when Howie finally croaked it was the Mormons who had all the chairs on the board of Summa Corp (the holding company for Hugfhs assetts) and therefore the Mormon church obtained Hughs tool and Hughs Aircraft. Hughs aircraft makes among other things, WMD.
The Mormons also own Anaconda Copper, Morton Salt, Morton Thyocol and were involved in the Big Mountain uranium mining mess on the Navaho reservation. This last was insidious, The Mormons essentially kidnapped indian children, using supposed "immorality" to justify the taking of Navaho children from their parents. These children were then raised as mormons instead of as proper Dineh people. Having stolen the kids from their parents and innoculated them with the lie of the cult, they sent them back to the rez to try to take over tribal government and steal the uranium from under Big Mountain. But Big Mountain is Sacred to the Hopi even if it was gerrymandered into the Navaho Res. I think the whole issue is still up in the air...
Still this is political and environmental, not personal. I HATE the Mormons because they destroyed my family (and if they did it to you, you'd hate 'em too.)

Sarah Palin is an idiot and a loose cannon. She is being used by Rush, etc. as a "conservative" destabilizer. The so called "conservatives" are oxymoronic as nothing is conserved under their watch. They scream about the lack of morality while behind the scenes they are the most immoral people one could meet. Anyone who fololows Rush or Beck is either delusionary, a shill, another dang mormon or someone gullible to take their bait. As I have written before observe what people do and you will know where their hearts are at. Politics and the media are full of liars, cheaters and oppertunists. People will say any thing at all to gain advantage, but if one regards Rushes track record one will quickly come to the conclusion that he is a rump roast of the worst quality.
Of course I am never suprised that people would elevate such as Rush and Palin to such heights. People only believe what they want to hear and if one is afraid of... say, a chief executive who happens to be biracial, then one will lap up everything that the racists say just because it is what they want to hear.
And once more, for the record, Obama has not confiscated anybody's guns. Republicans confiscated people's guns after Katerina (when they needed em most),they lie and misdirect when they claim Obama will take guns away. The Republican party is involved in class WARFARE and anybody in the middle class is in danger of being dumped into the lower social classes, because the Republicans are the tool of the Corporate class and corporations are the only entities that benefit from their hegemony. Corporations that have no allegience to anything by profit and no interest in personal freedom are the ones crushing the people and the ones who stripped the country of manufacturing (so they can have stuff made without regard to the environment or proper working conditions). These same corporatists can tell us how we can all work in the new "service economy" but in order to have a service economy one must have someone to serve. If everyone is servants, then you can't have a service economy (because servants can't afford services), it only works to have a service economy if you have an Aristocracy to serve! The corporatists will of course gladly step forward and be overseers for ALL the new slaves!
