I'm not sure if Ted is still on the board of the NRA.

Ted delivers a good message for 2A rights and if he gets under your skin then he has done what he intended to do.

Not wild about his music, but I sure like his unyielding support of our right to keep and bear arms. Maybe he'll learn to play country. Except for his practice of baiting, I admire his hunting ethic. His is one of the few hunting shows I will make a point of watching. I'd love to share a campfire with that guy.

As I stated in a previous discussion here, Nugent hunts on private deer farms for the wealthy here in Michigan and else where. He promotes high fenced hunting, which by it's nature limits hunting opportunities for the average hunter. Further, high fenced hunting has resulted in highly unethical hunting practices and treatment of wildlife. However, Ted has done a lot of good in promoting hunting, especially bow hunting. He's a mixed bag like the rest of us.

I like Nuge and applaud his efforts on our behalf. I think his over-the-top way of doing things is to attract attention and create discussion. Like the NRA, until something or someone better comes along, I'm glad they're both here and on our side. Long live Uncle Ted.

Dakotah Dan, you bring up good points, but I have seen him take down 6 points, that I would pass on. The man hunts for meat, not trophies, so I applaud him. The man thirsts for backstrap.

He may be extreme, but I would be happy to hunt with the man, and I know he would be happy to hunt anything, whether it be on a ranch, or in the middle of nowhere on public land.

The same can be said about the Drury brothers. They hunt on, I believe, mostly ranch land. They still provide ethical kills, and are valuable in the popularization of hunting. I personally hunt on public land, and also my cousins private property that is used for agriculture. Would I pass up on a ranch hunt? Probably not. Will I bend over backwards to hunt on elite property catered for the rich? Hell No.

As long as you are ethical, hunting is hunting.
