Backlash and Blowback

THE TIMES ARE DIFFERENT

Uploaded on June 08, 2009

I am writing this in response to Clay Cooper's post "thanking" President Obama.

I understand that this is a very touchy subject, the new President's ways and the war on terrists, but what we all seem to forget is that there are things happening everyday, all over the world, that change the course of an action taken the day before.
The rules have changed alot since WW1 and WW2. Advancements in warfare alone is enough to scare the most stone hearted man. Face-to-face combat and ground warfare, are a thing of the past, and I think that Obama knows that.

Could you imagine one day in his shoes? Just knowong that from the minute you wake up until the minute you go to bed, that every decision you make and every action you take, there is another man planning a way around them.
As to the comment made about the soldiers in Ark., there are many reasons, I believe, that would make the President want to take his time releasing the info. to anybody, let alone the public.
Could you imagine the mass panic that another "terrorist" attack has took place in the US. People would go crazy with fear, and who knows, after 9/11, not too many people ware going to sit around and wait for answers.

There are forces at work everyday that are way beyond our erational or rational "opinions", that we will never know. Call it what you want, but to use something like the "Bible" to fall back on to make sense of non-sense, is just plain wrong.
Im not trying to get under anyones skin with what I am about to say, but I think it needs to be said:
"The Bible is NO WAY a good book to use as a reference for violence or non-violence"!!
Dont get me wrong, its the HOLY BIBLE, but in one section of the book it tells you "......the blood of a man can never be spilled by the hands of another man......"
but then it turns around and says ".......if the blood of a man is spilled by the hands of another man, he too shall have blood spilt....."! Makes no sense. "Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.....but killing, robbing etc is sinful and wrong.......You tell me where the right is?

This war with terrists will always be here. Religion is too powerful of a source to be stopped with guns and blood shed. People will always fight if there believs are different....So I say lets not point the finger at Obama or the Bible or even Koran....lets try to point that finger at the real culprit......RELIGION AND THE ONES WHO USE IT FOR POWER

hey smallmouthaddict....im confused at your reply?
i am just saying that we all need to understand that the President has one hell of a job, with soo many responsibilities that the war on terrorism and the religion that powers it, is way out of our control...its way out of anybodys control.

He is a puppet. He does'nt have to make any decisions. As far as people complaining about him on Backlash it's called freedom of speech and as far as I know that right has not been taking away from us.

"Benji" what is it exactly that you are "smokin". Obama is a clown puppet.

One day you will stand before the Almighty God and be asked to defend your statement concerning His Word, the Holy Bible.

Better hope you are right, my man.

There is one thing that I would like to say to WA MTNHUNTER:

"YOU JUST PROVED MY POINT"

Um, no WA Mtnhunter did not just prove your point benjismokin. He is absolutely right, putting yourself in authority over God's word and saying that it doesn't make sense to YOU doesn't mean it is not correct You need to read the Bible in context and not just take verses here and there that fit in with your beliefs, read the whole thing.

We are a very Blessed nation with strong beliefs in religious freedom for ALL. The terrorists will never get this concept when killing innocent people is their speciality. America's military has been called to war in other lands, but we don't TARGET the innocent in our quest for peace as many may think.
Our way of life may not be perfect, but our roots come from that of Christian belief and the words handed down by God.
Faith is nothing more then a strong belief, but nothing is unclear about what is RIGHT and WRONG. This is what, I beieve, our Nation stands for..

Benjismokin

To set things straight, I do not condemn you for your point of view and think you have every right to express your POV.

Our Constitution guarantees those rights and many of us have served to maintain those rights and a lot of men and women have died defending the rights that you enjoy today. If you could only do one thing, it would be to reflect on WHY you have that freedom and carefully consider thoughts and deeds that might possibly lend support to those who would undermine the freedoms that we have enjoyed in our great nation.

We have been a great nation, but lately, not much of a grateful nation.

In no way was I trying to say that my words or the words of anybody else, is stronger or more powerful then The Lord himself. I was just saying that alot of people use the Bible as a form of "escape" when it comes to what IS righ and wrong.

You wouldnt say a serial killer was innocent of murders because he said God told him so, or that the way He reads the Bible, tells him to do it? We wouldnt say hes innocent, we would say he is CRAZY!

as to rabbitpolice......
the Bible has been a big part of my life. I have read it through and through. I never said that I didnt believe in God or Gods words.

If you, yourself have ever read the Bible, like you claim, then you would know:

"Let not mercy and truth forsake thee; So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and Man. In ALL ways aknowledge him. Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the LORD, and depart from all evil."

You should really know what ur saying b4 u say it!

benjismokin,
I knew exactly what I was saying I do know the Bible very well. My dad is a local Baptist preacher here in GA. If you do truly understand the Bible like you claim you would not have said that the two verses you mentioned did not make sense. The Bible is the answer for everything not just some things or things we want it to be the answer for.

In alot of ways this adds more fact my statement. Just as I said that religion has a POWER over EVERYTHING, and even on a sportsmens website, we are arguing over the BIBLE.

The day no-one uses religion to attack-
Will be the day this planet quits killing itself.

As for Obama.... Im not too crazy about the man either, I think he sits back and lets things boil to much, but what I am saying, is that it takes a HELL OF MAN to be President, and we thought BUSH was man enough for that, TWICE, then Obama at least deserves a shot.

That is a very disturbing video, If you are not a born again believer in Jesus Christ you do serve satan. The Bible says you can not serve God and Satan. You will love one and hate the other, you can not serve good and evil.

2Timothy 2:15-16 I think explains it all.

The bible must be spiritually discerned not fleshly discerned. If you understand what Im saying, you know what a walk with the Lord is all about.

As far as Obama, A look at his past will tell you the future.
