Bass Fishing
Too often I see individuals on the same side simply lose the battle just to petty bickering between themselves. Take Crossbows vs Compound. For fellow Gun Nuts who were on here a while back can remember how bloody it got to a point someone was going to shoot someone.
Remember all the hoopla over Jim Zumbo's crack over the AR-15?
Who's the real looser here, it sure wasn't Mr Zumbo!
"The political machine triumphs because it is a united minority acting against a divided majority." -Will Durant
There are those who are willing to sacrifice the many just to appease the few and to shoot a hole in the bottom of the boat just because they can!
Divide and conquer...
We need to remember it is the gun owners( reguardless of what type gun we have) against the anti-gunners. You are right we can't divide ourselves or we are beat. I may not do a particular type of hunting but I need to defend it, that is the only way we as hunters are going to "win".
Amen guys
Divide and conquer...who?
What team are you on?
Are we not all Americans? Thats the "team" we should all remember.
What is a definition of an American?
The real question?
Who is an American?
We have umpteen million Hyphenated Americans but very few Americans.
I’m a American, just happen to be white, believe Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, drive a Chevy Silverado HD2500 4 door 4x4, carry a gun and help little old Ladies every day ranging in every color imaginable including there hair!!
It's obvious, how can you understand the answer if you don't understand the question :/
Supreme Court
Care to shed a little light on this?
It's obvious, how can you understand the answer if you don't understand the question :/
Clay,
I had so much respect for you until you said you drive a chevy.... I'm a ford man myself. Killin me coop you're killin me haha.
Got one word for you and Coop, MPN!
Cummings diesel.
Okay 2 words!
Bubba
Bubba,
Dodge fan huh? Well have you seen the new Ford Raptors, mighty fine truck.
See for yourself:

Clay I have a quote for ya. "THE DAY WE LOSE THE 2nd AMENDMENT IS THE DAY WE START THE 2ND REVOLUTION" I saw that on a bumper sticker.
"He who would sacrifice a little liberty for some security deserves neither" Ben Franklin
Or put into this context, He who would say it is OK to ban handguns or "black rifles" because he is a hunter and has no use for them deserves to see all guns banned by "letting the camel's nose under the tent". I live out west and therefore hunt deer with a rifle. Just because I don't hunt deer with a shotgun doesn't mean slug guns should be banned or that I would stand by and let it happen without a fight. Not my fight? The hell you say! Any attack against the 2nd Amendment is my fight. I don't care what gun is being targeted, I'll fight for it even if I never intend to own one.
idduckhntr
Just might come down to that the way things are going! NOT LOL!
MPN, the best truck I ever owned was a 85 Toyata 4x4. Drove it to Alaska pulling a 4x4x8 trailer fully loaded, ran all around AK for 4 years in arctic conditions and pulled the same trailer back and it's still running according to the X.
Ive always tried to find the humor in whatever life throws my way.But these days its getting harder & harder to laugh. The government greed is just so overwhelming.Plus all the other decay going on.Like the song says,Are we rollin down hill like a snow ball headed for hell.Stand up for the Flag and lets all ring the Liberty bell.I belive theres a lot of truth in that bumpper sticker idduckhntr. But tonight after it cools down IM GOING FISHIN!
John I have a friend comin into town next week and the bass are startin to pick up cant wait. But if you and Clay are right if Obama said he does not want our guns and 2nd amendmant rights then why is he appointing all these people who are against them into office and on the supreme court?
You do hear some arguements between some groups of hunters against other groups but I believe they are in the vast minority. My guess is 95% of hunters and gun owners don't care what the other hunters are doing. For instance I live in Ohio where crossbows are legal as well as compounds. In my thirty plus years of hunting I have never heard a cross word between the two groups. I even hunt with crossbow hunters.
The real danger is apathy. Hunters must understand that all issues apply to them because what goes around comes around. Example: I do not bear hunt with dogs and have no interest in the sport but I understand that if a state wishes to take that right away from others I must help defend them. I may need their help some day.
But I'll be damn if I hunt with a guy who drives a Chevy. lol.
Just got this email and don't know if it's authentic? But if it's true, we have a problem in Arizona.

idduckhntr,Im glad the ice is finaly off the river over there.American falls is producing I hear.
buckhunter, you had me hook line and sinker!!And that last line!BWHAHAHAHAHA!!!! its a slippery slope!!You wanna hear jaws pop go out with a group of staunch Flyfishermen and hook up a big ol'night crawler...It's all good. G'night gentlemen.
John Anderson... you are abolutely correct. I sometimes feel ashamed to call myself a fly fisherman with some of the elitist attitudes that exist in our circle. I guess I was thinkking more of hunters and not fisherman.
On the same lines as that there is a battle brewing between fly guys and bait guys for the use of public waters. The fly guys are battling for more fly only catch and release waters which takes away from the bait guys. It's a sad senerio.
I heard there is new legislation in Ohio that will not allow a Chevy to be parked within 100 feet and any public fishery. Something about leaking oil. Anybody else hear this?
gun owners vs. anti-gun owners all right, but the gun owners have to have commonsense, or the anti's use the kooky argument to win the debate.
It is all about open debate, and the public makes the judgement. The only exception to the open debate American way is Obama who gets policy changed behind closed doors, and through the use of Czars.
Why the -1 for Sayfu, this is exactly the problem using drive by hit and run without saying why you disagree!
Sayfu does make a valid point and I give him a +1!
Few years ago some of you may remember of my story of being in a Gun Store in Independence MO. A Fella walked in and just bought a Muzzle Loader and wanted to know what the best bullet, sabot and powder to use and He was using a TC Encore 50 cal. I pointed out the 44 cal magnum sabots and 777 powder then walked around and showed him the Hornady 265 grain soft points .429 diameter I use. Far cheaper than the packets/kits and get the biggest bang for the buck.
All of a sudden out of nowhere, this Cowboy looking dude wearing a range coat and black hat puffed up and said, MY NAME IS BLAA! BLAA! BLAA! and I'm a Muzzle Loader Instructor and what your telling this Guy is wrong. He grabbed off the shelf stuff like in the movie Jeremiah Johnson jaded veteran of the Mexican War (1846-48). He said I should be ashamed of myself of having the ability to shoot past 30? That's right 30! YARDS!
Two days latter I was back in that shop and the Fella looking for a load was back in trading his TC Encore never been shot in for something else. I did manage to talk him out of it.
Why was He trading the MZ in? Simply put, it was that JACKASS who made it sound it wasn't worth it!
Think about it!
I see where Mr. Cooper now wants folks to qualify themselves as to why one agrees or disagrees with any posted statement. Wants reasons given when folks issue a plus or minus. To my knowledge this has never been required before, why now? I’ll be happy to give you my reasons for disagreeing with the poster in question. I’ve grown weary of certain individuals who constantly turn any generalized topic of discussion into a rant against the current administration. From premature male pattern baldness to sun spots, it’s all Obama’s fault. I don’t mind that folks disagree on specific subjects, hell that’s what debate is, but twisting every single thing into a political rant is just getting old. He should layoff the “infiltration” train of thought too.
Please...give us one policy...one thing that Obama has done, or suggested that is a positive for the taxpayer, or lifestyle of the US citizen...one thing.
Obama smurks at the suggestion someone would call him a socaialist. He just chose a guy to oversee his massive ObamaCare healthcare program....the guy is a noted socialist. Europe, by the way, is in deeeeeep economic trouble, and trying to move away from socialism, and has told Obama that in no uncertain terms. We are in deeeeep economic trouble, and Obama is moving deeper into socialism. I wait for your response supported this socialist.
1) Healthcare for an estimated 30-40 million US citizens.
2) Financial reform... So we don't repeat the last meltdown.
You know, it used to be whichever party won an election got to set the agenda. The opposing party would negotiate their position as best they could to gain the best compromise they could, that was called governing,... now we've got an opposition party that is all too willing to "shoot a hole in the boat" ( as CC so aptly puts)that they are letting the nation suffer just to see this administration fail. Then they'll point their fingers and say "see, he failed". Do you believe the concerned citizenry won’t remember the political party that refuses to debate unless certain things are taken off the table? Care to take a guess at the number of positions waiting to be filled on account of Republican refusal to even hold a debate? Do you truly believe that the economic mess this country is in was created in the last 18-19 months? How about having a guess how many “Czar” positions the previous administration had. Your selective memory is astounding.
The Health care system will never become viable. The cost and lack of professional care will doom this system as it has doomed national care all over the world. This system can't work and no one can point to a single example where it worked without disaster at every turn. The French want to do away with theirs, the British want to do away with theirs and the Canadians all come here when ever they need professional care. This doesn't have to do with Dem-Rep. This has to do with intellect and concern. This is an poor idea and simply can't be touted as any sort of victory for anyone. How in the world does anyone expect this pathetic government to run national health care for the expected 60+ million announced when the VA is a dismal failure for our vets???? If you can't manage 10 bucks how can you manage a million??
Hoski ..You need to go back to 8th grade and take ECON 101 and listen this time. Healthcare will turn out to be a a huge financial ruin, and the administration wants no info to come out on it now that we know it will create huge debt, and very poor healthcare.
Financial reform? lol That was a joke right? The very liberal folks that caused the world, financial meltdown, are now in charge of reforming it? Just more regulation and taxes that will hurt jobs and the economy.
And besides all the financial ruin this guy and his liberal buddies in congress have created THIS GUY IS THE MOST RACIALLY DIVISIVE PRESIDENT IN US HISTORY BAR NONE!
One thing my Troops knew they didn't do when they approached me was just to say something sucks. They knew if you said something sucks, you better have a reason why and for bonus point to keep their butt intact is to have a fix or some idea for why something sucks!
Hoski
Medicare is going to pay Medical Professionals less. Now what this does is to shift payment of responsibility from one to the other which makes the Patient pay the difference!
Some deal right!
Beekeeper
You say Divide and conquer...
There is those who are doing a damn good job of it right here!
LOL? NOT!
I though this post was about keeping our firearms and sticking together to protect our gun rights and not to badmouth a guy because he used a particular type of firearm or he participated in a certain type of hunting. I must have missed something along the way. ( To the guy who said he had never heard anything negative about a crossbow, I hear bow hunters badmouthing crossbows everyday here in WV )
It is, you just don't get it. A guy using a gun in a certain type of way, saying "screw you, I am protected by the Right to Bear Arms, then you do jeopardize your right to Bear Arms, IMO. At some point, if you lose the debate, congress will amend the constitution. I am a gun owner, and a responsible gun owner, and an avid hunter, but some of these guys that have guns scare the daylights out of me. Just my opinion of course.
Clay, as you know the administration merely wanted some true competition for the insurers, who still hold all the strings and continue to demand ever escalating premiums, sadly, that wasn't allowed through conservatives’ refusal to even hold debate. If by chance some private folks could/would create a healthcare insurance that didn’t put individual profits above all else, there would be competition and I’d support it. Alas, that’s unlikely. Nothing wrong with making a buck, there’s just something wrong with selling the idea that an individuals’ healthcare is covered only to learn that when it’s needed, the procedure you need is deemed to be not covered.
If we’re going to talk guns then lets talk guns.
Sayfu, how the heck did you manage to work race into this? Only you.
BS..The administration will eliminate the insurers, and escalate the cost of healthcare. When the cost of healthcare escalates you the INSURERS HAVE TO RAISE THE PREMIUMS!! Back to econ 101 again.
It should not be hard for you to research the Mass. universal healthcare plan that has turned into a massive debt nitemare!! The State just put a cap on the insurance premiums. Mass. Healthcare plan is a mirror image of what ObamaCare is, and will be. With healthcare costs rising at the rate of 8% a year, do you have a clue what will happen? Price controls work do they? Price controls on the price of gas worked years ago? California price controls on the costs that retailers could charge on energy worked under Grey Davis as Gov....when wholesale costs were rising? Remember the Enron scandal? It is outright incredible the liberals answers to economic solutions.
And I worked race as an example of what a pathetic leader you support...pathetic...he is allowing citizens to get murdered by playing the race card appeasing his liberal base!!!!
Medicare only pays 60% and now 20% less of that of the bill to begin with along with a right off the Provider must take. People thing Doctors make a ton of money. Figure this out, you spent years in school to become a Doctor and now have a massive school bill to pay back, you have a Clinic you must pay floor space for, supplies, equipment plus upkeep, maintenance and replacement, then you have Wages to pay along with tax's and insurance just to name a few.
One of the things my Wife and I do, is to assist Doctors in starting their own practice as one of the benefits we do for new Clients for our Medical Billing Service which we do for no cost.
So if you think a Doctor really makes allot of money? Not really when you see what they had to do to get their!
Medicare only pays $5.00 for a shot, just barely covers the cost of the syringe but not the medicine, Medicare requires the DR to write off the rest, and it’s a freebie to the Patient!
You spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to achieve something and you would work for minimum wage?
I don’t think so!
One of the top five in the world surgeons who can take a person and when finished will look better than Brad Pitt is retiring because of the Obama plan. He flies around the world performing these surgeries and does it all on his own time and dime!
How can a Doctor possibly give what they don’t have!
The administration merely wanted some true competition for the insurers?
O"BS!
Privatize the medical field, drop the restrictions of cannot cross state lines for starters!
AND TELL THE UNIONS TO GO TO HELL!
Exactly Clay...How many times do you have to debate a subject on the merits, and facts to realize a liberal wants nothing to do with the facts... facts just get in the way of their liberal agenda.
My main point of calling Obama a racist for which he definitely is, and has displayed that fact over and over, is....will he play politics with owning a firearm?...or will he support his liberal base regardless of the facts? I say he will play politics because he has on every issue since he's been President.
Privatize medical field? Don’t doctors have private practices now?
It’s the big insurance companies I have a problem with. Zero competition. I’m speaking from personal experience here. (Concentrate Sayfu, maybe you can keep up) My father, the man who introduced me to the great outdoors worked all his life and paid for his own insurance. (State Farm) At age 72 Prostate cancer was diagnosed and because of age and health surgery is out, luckily his Dr. has experience with a newer procedure called cryo-ablation whereby the Prostate tissue is frozen, (killed Sayfu) but procedure denied by insurance as non-standard, need to meet “special” conditions to be approved. Meeting those conditions took a little over 7 months, by which time cancer is now discovered in his bladder. Did it spread during delay? Who knows? For sure the insurance company will never admit the possibility. Now this cancer is an aggressive form and is cut out right away. Prostate procedure finally approved and now that’s finally done. Now the drill is to prevent re-occurrence of bladder cancer. Know what that entails? Yes, another non-standard form of chemo, back to meeting those “special” conditions. Has the delays and mental stress caused by insurance company helped or hurt his health? Now so far, Dad’s been cancer free for 19 plus months, but I can’t help but think of how much less stressful this ordeal could have been if the insurance company wasn’t putting their bottom line ahead of a patient’s health.
And please don’t tell me that by allowing to shop across state lines that will hold the big insurers in check. Believing that is like believing the fox will guard the hen house. Can we say collusion? Again, we’re back to zero competition.
BTW, brother has 7 yr. medical education, (pharmacology) so I’m more than a little familiar with what education costs.
What the hell do unions have to do with this?
Hoski...You are a joke. Any credible analyst will tell you that opening up state borders to insurance co. competition would provide over 300 different choices. That is a fact. This administration does not want that simple fix. They want a single payer system, and socialized medicine period. They jammed through a 1,200 pg. document before anyone could understand what was in it. Matter of fact, Pelosi said to pass it, and then read it! Obama told his own party members that didn't want it, that it was cost neutral..no additional debt...THAT WAS A BIG LIE!!!
The insurance co.'s are not the problem! The fact you want anyone to believe this administration favors competition of any kind discredits you as a credible source of information...that is an outright lie. They want to eliminate co. and oversee business. They have regulated the auto industry, the insurance industry, the student loan business, banks, and with the carbon tax they will control most all industry. Now spend your time researching the Mass. healthcare system that is a disaster...just what Obama wants.
Sayfu, your credible analyst, my credible analyst, whatever. it's obvious that you're a parrot for Beck and Limbaugh. this administration regulates auto, insurance, and financial industry??? You are daft. It's the LACK of regulation that caused the failures! In the specific case of auto bailout, are you refering to putting conditions on how money was to be applied? I certainly hope so. It's our money! As for your conspiracy theory, yeah, I concede you must be right, Obama hatched this plan years ago in Kenya, all dependent on him being ELECTED to the highest office in the land, pretty daggone brilliant allright. Don't bother with a response, at this point when I need a good chuckle, I'll just tune into Beck or Limbaugh.
Really? Who owns GM? What did Obama do to GM? And Obama's bailout of the big banks. That one flew over your head?..Obama isn't regulating the credit bank lending that is causing the economic meltdown? Flakes can still get homes with little credit while good credit folks that can pay back their loans have trouble getting a loan. Banks are closing by the dozens weekly because they won't lend to the flakes, and can't lend to good creditors. The failure was caused by Fannie and Freddie that were run by democrats that insisted that banks loan to flakes with no credit...the American entitlement thing that anyone should be able to own a home. Banks took no risk in lending to flakes because Fannie and Freddie bought up the bad loans, called subprime loans from the banks. Why wouldn't you write the loan and get the loan fee if the govt was going to remove the risk? Then these bad loans were bundled, called derivatives, and sold to central banks around the world. These bad loans dragged other good loans into foreclosure and down went credit ratings around the world...then Obama decided to bailout a lot of these banks around the world with tax payer money!!!!! You must be awful young because you are sure awful ignorant of what happened. Blaming US industry, and banks was a diversionary tactic used by the left.
Here is another fact for you to look up. Banks quit lending money to flakes with not credit when Fannie and Freddie ran out of money to buy up the flaky loans. ACORN came knocking and threatened banks with lawsuits if they didn't continue to make the bad loans. Fannie and Freddie came up with more taxpayer loan money, and the rest is history..Fannie and Freddie went under, and world banks went deep in debt besides our big banks that made subprime loans. They have Barney Franks on tape telling the regulators they had to step aside and not apply bank regulations that were in place that would have denied subprime loans... that the lefts desire to see flakes in homes was more important....and all of that is documented fact!! Now you have a lot of homework to do..get to googgling!!
Let’s get YOUR facts straight parrot, GM and Chrysler came to the govt. for help, not the other way around. Bank bailout? (Which I’ve previously stated I opposed) was initiated by your hero Bush, $700 BILLION worth to be implemented by Henry Paulson with a 3 page memo as a guide line as you so conveniently forgot, your selective memory is showing again. Tell me Mr. Wizard, which administration official held a gun to lender’s heads to make all those unsecured loans? Which administration official held a gun to the heads of Leman Brothers or AIG’s forcing them to buy into that mess? They took their chances; they should’ve stood the consequences. The term here is GREED. So now everybody should just ignore the chance that it could happen all over again, or, strong regulations could be implemented to protect citizens from that risk. I choose financial regulation. Oh yeah, I should mention that it was the republican congress that repealed financial regulations during Bush’s administration, selective memory thing again.
I like your logic Hoski!GREED! yes sir! they get a little bit more and a little more each time they reach into our pockets!
The State Government run health care system that I have access to are the Mass. and Maine programs. Both are disasters and can't even come close to the proposed estimates for self sustaining activities. Everyone in Maine has to pay high additional fees if you are self insured to pay for the Dirigo program. Many doctors are refusing to treat Dirigo patients because the state is more than two years behind in payments. The same stories are coming out of Mass. and my information comes from one of the original drafters of the plan, a long time customer and a man who has devoted his life to providing health care to those who can't afford it. If this fine gentleman, with all of his expertise and ability is ready to throw in the towel, who are we to say stay the the course? The issue with both Mass. and Maine is the state gov. refusal to let the free enterprise system exist. In Maine, there are only two insurance companies that we can choose from, one private and one gov. plan. Maine refuses to let fair competition take place. I can remember when I could choose from more than 15 insurers and the cost was reasonable and the service was excellent. Now that the state gov. says who can and who can't insure me the service is horrible and the costs are off the charts. The same is true of the gov. run plan. I checked the cost against my own insurers comparable plan and the cost are virtually identical except the gov. plan has many more restrictions as to the services that my doctor can provide. Nothing that any State or Federal government does will be better than the service the private sector will provide. Nothing is ever perfect, but what we have now is the envy of the entire world. When your life is on the line you will do what is required to save yourself and people from all over the world come to this country to avail themselves of the finest in medical attention. I've told this story before but it bears repeating occasionally. I'm close to the second largest hospital in Maine and on any given day of the year approximately 50% of the cars in the parking lot are Canadian. The Canadian health care is free but the service is very bad. If you have a serious condition you may have to stand in line and even then maybe not ever see a specialist. This is information from many of my Canadian friends who come here on a regular basis. This national health care plan of the current administration is sliding downhill fast and will crash before it can make a correction. All of the current cost estimates, including those from the administrations own accounting office, say that it can't work.
Hoski, the reason the Auto makers went to the Government for a bailout is because of the Unions wanting to be taken care of cradle to grave and 15 years ago, GM's profits after salary paid was again gobbled up by 60% taking care of Union Employees and now it's far more!
Yes Insurance needs to be fixed, but it must be realistic!
Hoski, got a question for you,
You cleared the land and built a house by your own hands with your own money and I want half of it!
Your having diner with your Wife and I walk up and take half of it!
Everyone at work didn't do anything but set around and smoke cigarettes while you did all the work and pay is on production done and divided by the number who worked and the amount they worked. Everyone wants a cut of the money and because you did all the work, they demanded a cut regardless!
what say you HOSKI!
Whew! It sure is more fun sitting on the sidelines reading this one than getting into the fray! LOL
Sic 'em, boys!
Clay, a little looking around on my past comments would answer your question concerning my view of the sweetheart labor agreements the UAW and Big 3 negotiated in the past. In a nut shell I believe they went way too far. Please don't dismiss the fact that ownership willingly agreed to those contracts, including provisions concerning retirees. Since you're fond of the hypothetical, I'll propose one. Let's say you and I negotiate a deal whereby you're responsible for paying me X amount in the future, but you use those funds for something of your choosing instead of securing those funds promised to me. Time passes and now I demand payment of funds agreed upon, but you spent the funds somewhere else, now what? Let’s not dismiss ownership’s refusal to re-invest to modernize production plants, instead choosing to pay out huge dividends. Would you run your business that way?
And I'm pleased to know you believe insurance issues need to be addressed, I too would think citizens should be allowed to shop wherever we can get the best deal. But that alone won't cure the ills. As you've stated, no one plan is perfect, but at least this administration is attempting to deal with it. What have the so called "conservatives" done? Hell, President Nixon proposed addressing national healthcare and "conservatives” have done absolutely nothing in the intervening years!
C'mon WAM, jump in!
When I referred to Obama bailing out the big banks, it was an opportunity to seize control of the big banks via the bailout. Bush's congress bailed out the banks, both republicans and Dems, and it is still debatable what would have happened had they not. Paulson, and his wife, by the way, were liberals. But now, through the bailouts Obama is controlling the credit is my point. Flakes can still get loans and stay in their homes which continues to bring on more foreclosures. The money they have been provided is money down the tube, they just end up in foreclosure again. Credit worthy folks have a difficult time getting a loan. This is where OBAMA'S STATEMENT "let no crisis go wasted" comes in and he can implement more socialism. And when GM came to the govt for help the normal BK process wasn't followed. Obama ran the show and GAVE the GM stockholders their proceeds to the UNION. The bondholders were also left holding the bag. That is the corruption, and govt control we are witnessing, and what Obama wants with healthcare...not open competition for insurance. Then the environmentalists won the day in the GM case getting the concession that 1 out of 4 vehicles has to be a clown car as if they can be forced onto the consumer. That insures profits will not be made, and we will bailout the union for a long, long time going forward. And the union pension plans that go unfunded because of Obama's economic policy of not growing private sector jobs? Liberals in congress just proposed that the taxpayer dump another $165 Billion into their coffers to keep them afloat!!!,,,incredible!
Cleared the land, etc. Take half my dinner, etc. would get your butt handed to you. The pay for production question answers itself. Any production facility I'm aware of that pays per unit produced, also has tracking verifying who does what.
Obama even told the hard working small businessman, Joe the Plumber...this is no time for profits, your hard work needs to go to others down the line.
Statements like, there comes a time when making enough money is enough. Do you think he applies that thinking to himself, or guys like his buddy, George Soros, and other liberal billionaires that donated heavily to get him elected? It doesn't take a genius to figure out he is a dihard socialist.
His redistribution of wealth notion via the carbon tax, and other means is well documented. Obama isn't even trying to hide that plan, and the folks he appointed are those that want redistribution to take place. The guy heading up ObamaCare makes no bones about ObamaCare being designed as a redistribution of wealth plan.
WAM, you are so right!! I try not to "rassle with pig they enjoy it too much and you just get muddy.
The rassle is coming in Nov. at the polls. Any liberal up for relection will be gone. A GOP moderate up for re-election will be gone. And they will be held to their voting record by the TeaParty-ers. We have to, this is crunch time for this country. People see govt workers pensions, and jobs cut back by Greece, as they burn cars and bust out store windows rioting, but California's debt is far, far deeper than Greece's debt, and that is but one state! New York, Illinois, are deeeeep in debt, and will Obama let them go into receivership, and a judge determine who gets what to get financially solvent?...or will he bail them out with taxpayer money which is what happened with the 800B stimulus...states just covered their budget shortfalls, and back to business as usual...I say it happens again!! And how does this relate to guns, and ammo, and fishing...massive inflation down the road, and folks lucky to pay their bills let alone hunt and fish. Socialism ALWAYS makes the poor, and the middle class pay dearly.
Here is something we can all get behind! If not, STFU

Wam that was a great post, its to bad that there are people in this country that take so much for granted and do not thank those that have for this country. Thank You for your service.
It remains amazing to me how individuals that frequent this site can warp history into “facts”. The Parrot implies Obama used bank bailout to take ownership of said banks. As if this is all some devious master plan that he initiated. Parrot pays passing admission that it was Bush who initiated bank bailout but quickly moves blame to Bushes appointee Paulson as a liberal in disguise. The Parrot implies that the whole country is continuing to get questionable housing loans. Oh really? Last time I checked housing market is near collapse. Parrot says GM bailout went directly to the unions. Got any documentation, or did that come straight from your butt too? Environmentalists now running GM? Joe the Plumber? Are you kidding me? Unemployed tax delinquent trying to buy business? Are you serious? Where does this guy get this stuff? More importantly, why am I the only one who questions the Parrot? Seems to me more of the posters at this site who call yourselves true conservatives would be more than a little embarrassed by some of the Parrots wilder claims.
WAM, great post. Thank you again for your service.
Moishe, thought we had come to a truce about the pig stuff, or am I mistaken?
Hoski, Sorry that the facts are getting in your way. I didn't imply that the Bush bailout of banks happened because of liberals...just the fact that Paulson is a liberal...that is fact. The bailout was supported by both parties...that is a fact. And it is a fact that Obama has seized on the opportunity to regulate credit by the banks...that is a fact. Banks are shutting down because of it, loans aren't being made when banks have plenty of money to loan, because of Obama's credit regulations. And when I say a bank closes, some of these banks have 30-40 branch banks!!!!!!! Get real! Obama is a financial disaster, and now the fatcat CEO's on WallST. won't contribute to the guy when they donated heavily to his campaign...wakeup bud. And GM? Obana got rid of their CEO!!! Put his own guy in as CEO!! Ever heard of a President doing that? Find out if 1 out of 4 vehicles has to be a clown car..a concession the environmentalists got from Obama!
Depends on the pig. Some irritate me more than others.
Sayfu, Fact, you are correct when you state banks now have money to loan. Fact, US Presidents don't "instruct" banks on which loans to make or not make, that's a loan officer’s job description. Fact, bank bailout provided funds so banks would free-up credit (loans) which banks so far haven't done by THEIR choice. Fact, if you run a business to near collapse and then come to me for funds, your damn right I'm going to put restrictions in.
Moishe, understood.
I don't know who gave Hoski the -1's, but I gave Him +1's for speaking what he believes the truth!
Recon where I stand on United We Stand or Don't we? Is obvious!
I'm not going to shoot a hole in the bottom of someones boat just because I can!
Hoski,,, NO that is not the case at all. That is the regulation that Obama got with the bailout of the banks. He provided billions to keep flakes in their homes...extend their mortgage payments that was a total waste, and helped NOONE..they end up again in foreclosure...credit was made easy by regulation for subprime mortgage folks, and tough for others that had credit. Do you know anything at all about marked to market accounting procedures insituted by democrats that if changed would eliminate most of the housing debacle that is going on? What is happening is one flake in the neighborhood is bringing down home values for others that can pay their mortgages who are forced into foreclosure because their homes are being reduced in value, and more collateral is being called for. Banks now are stuck with bad loans, no Fannie to buy them up and remove the risk so they do not make them.
Do either of you guys (Hoski/Moishe) remember when Canada went to socialized medicine!?
I do!
I lived in a town of twenty thousand in East Texas that gained four FINE Canadian doctors because socialized medicine would ruin them!
As far as the economy goes!
You gotta go back to the turn of the 20th century for all the answers.
In 1900 our government was solvent. By 1950, it was in ruins and continues down hill today.
The whole world praises FDR for bringing America out of the Great Depression. It didn't have anything to do with FDR, World War II and the need for ward materials ended the Great Depression. FDR gave us income tax and social security.
James E. Carter in the 70's told banks they could no longer refuse home loans because of income. Ergo, Fannie Mae! If I'm not mistaken, it was Wild Bill that brought us Freddie Mac!
The four programs that I mentioned above are costing Americans.
Now Barry O' wants socialized medicine. (a rose by any other name is still a rose!)
Banks and loans are the least of our worries!!!
Just remember this one fact!
"In recorded history, no Democracy has lasted more than two hundred years. Every day the sun comes up over the East coast sets a new record!"
History DOES repeat itself gentlemen.
America is now into year 234!
Bubba
Bubba, this is not a Democracy, that is MOB RULE, we are (SUPPOSEDLY) until the recent farcical village idiot, a Constitutional Republic, there is a very big difference.
Kannuckistan has been socialist for 50+ years. As has Britain.
The United States of America was founded to be a Democratic (nothing to do with the political party) society.
Bubba
Banks and loans the worst of our worries..bubba
Small business creates 70% of all new jobs that foot the bills for the health and welfare of our nation. Right now they are not expanding, creating new business, creating new jobs. Private industry is shrinking. Small business depends on bank loans they are not taking out because they are worried about new taxes, their healthcare costs going forward because of ObamaCare. Private business is shrinking, and banks are closing down because loans are not being made. I'd say banks making loans is a very big concern.
Time out FirstBubba!
Correction my Friend :)
The United States of America was founded to be a Nation based on the Constitution, nothing more!
The difference between the Bible and the Constitution is very simple.
Simply put,
The Bible tells and instructs Man what to do and how to go about doing it and it is to be taken as black & white with no shades of gray!
As for the Constitution, it is to be also taken as black & white and with no shades of gray as the way the Bible is taken, but this is where it is different.
As the Bible instructs and tells Man what to do, the Constitution tells and instructs Government what to do, not the people!
“Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters.” -Daniel Webster
“Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no Constitution, no Law, no Court can save it...Where do you stand Citizen?” -Judge Learned Hand (1961)
http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/red-skeltons-pledge-of-allegiance...
We were founded as a republic governed by our Constitution, not a democratic society. The terms republic and democracy have little to do with the political parties and their platforms (both of which are rotten and shaky). Constitutional Republic defines our form of government better than most other terms. Look it up.
WAM +1 for you, I would give you a billion but?
Awright Clay and WMA,
Respectfully, I had to go back to the old dictionary and look this one up. Here's what I found.
de-moc-ra-cy - n. pl. -cies
1. government in which the people hold the ruling power either directly or through elected representatives
2. a country, state, etc. with such government
3. majority rule
4. the principle of equality of right, opportunity, etc., or the practice of this principle.
From: Webster's NewWorld Dictionary - second concise edition
Sounds to me like what our founding fathers had in mind!
Bubba
'Scuse my double entry, but I thought it only fair to include this definition also.
re-pub-lic - n.
1. a nation in which the supreme power rests in all the citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives elected by them
2. the government of such a state
3. a nation with a president as it's head
4. any of certain division of the U.S.S.R. or Yugoslavia
Okay, so the U.S.S.R. and Yugoslavia are no longer around, but neither is the U.S.A. anything like the U.S.S.R. or Yugoslavia!
Bubba
FirstBubba, welcome.
Some time back myself and fellow posters had the definition debate, all kind of agreed everyone was right. Scroll up and see my first post on this thread, it still stands. I'm still asking fellow posters and citizens if this country's ills were brought on solely by current administration or did it develop over many.
Okay, definitions aside, MY answer to your post is:
No, the current administration isn't responsible for ALL our ills.
Now, go back and read my earlier post.
At the turn of the twentieth century, America was solvent. FDR is credited with bringing the US out of the Depression. World War II brought us out of the depression with the demand in war materials.
What did FDR do?
Income Tax
Social Security
Dismantle the Gold Standard
It's been downhill from there.
Bubba
FDR bringing us out of a depression? You need to read an accurate account of the economic ills created by massive govt spending, the same thing Obama is now doing..It did put people back to work that needed work, BUT..it put us into deeeeeep debt, and their was a double dip depression in the middle of the 10 yr.of economic pain created by FDR's New Deal. FDR can be attributed to the massive govt spending that followed that set a precedent.
Sayfu, please get a grip. In your rush to argue you missed FirstBubba's point altogether.
FirstBubba, I did read your first post. My welcome and definition part was directed to you, the rest was to fellow posters. Again, welcome
What didn't I get a grip on? What is your position on FDR's NEW DEAL and bringing us out of a depression. I suspect I know.
And did you catch the response Erskine Bowles provided Obama today regarding his report as head of the Debt Commission who the Democrats appointed?..."stay the course you are on, and we are headed off the cliff"
I rest my case, and it has scared the bejesus out of a lot of Democrats up for re-election that are now turning against Obama.
Sayfu, First Bubba's quote is as follows, "The whole world praises FDR for bringing America out of the Great Depression. It didn't have anything to do with FDR, World War II and the need for war..."etc. So essentially you two are in agreement, but you rushed to argue first instead of understanding what was said. And yes I did catch Mr. Bowles statement regarding ongoing fiscal commission meetings. Also heard frm. Republican Senator Alan Simpson's and Ben Bernanke's statements. Below are just some of their statements.
"Bowles, former President Bill Clinton's White House chief of staff, said changes to the country’s defense, tax, spending and entitlement policies were necessary to deal with a $13 trillion debt expected to grow faster in future years".
Bowles called on the commission to find ways to extend Social Security’s solvency and reduce health costs beyond savings from the president’s healthcare reform law."
"Bowles told Democrats that the healthcare bill would help reduce debt but doesn’t go far enough".
“I think you got all of the cost out there to get right now,” Bowles said. “I think you can be darned proud of that, but we do have to get more costs out of healthcare or it will just consume the budget.”
He also called for tax code reform, singling out costly tax breaks that haven't had their intended effects.
“The greatest contribution we can make to that is to work to simplify it, broaden the base and make it so that America is more competitive in a knowledge-based economy,” Bowles said.
How do you interperet these recommendations into "turning against Obama"?
Ya'll keep at it! Hoski and I had a similar debate a while back and we agreed to disagree. I don't agree with the policies of the current regime and believe the last one set us up for the one we are all stuck with now. The last four regimes have been globalists, period.
We need to hang 'em all and start over. At least get rid of every sorry incumbent in November. Which are the sorry incumbents? ALL of them, for allowing the BS to go on as long as it has! Have they no common sense?
And that is all I have to say about that -- F. Gump
Best I can tell Hoski, you're defending Obummer and what the Dems are doing by saying, "Look what they (Bush) left us with!"
Once more, I have to step back and say.
At the turn of the 20th century, America was solvent and prospering.
A governments job is not to take care of you. A governments job is to govern! Period!
With that said, if you want to defend Obummer, go for it. Just don't look to me for support!
Bubba
Bush was a disaster? Bush pushed to take on terrorism when the libs wanted to throw in the towel and come home in defeat. Bush pushed for a tax cut that democrats said would be a disaster to the economy, and govt coffers OVERFLOWED with tax receipts, state and federal. Unemployment was reduced to 4.5% !!!!!!! It has always worked throughout history...reduced taxes and you increase tax receipts..more jobs, more people working and paying taxes. Had it not been for the liberal banking created disaster of putting flakes in homes that didn't deserve to own homes we wouldn't have had such a disastrous recession! Look up the Community Re-organization ACT..Clinton put teeth in the ACT that forced banks to loan to flakes. It is all well recorded/documented...Barney forcing the regulators to turn their backs, the whole bit. Blame Bush? For some things, but he was far, far from a disaster. Debt to GDP was LOW..the economy grew for over 50 some straight quarters under Bush.
FirstBubba, I realize you may be entering here kind of in the middle of ongoing debate. For the record I've stated before that I'll support good ideas from either party, I don't "automatically" support anybody. Now some will say I’m talking out of both sides of my mouth, but I don’t see it that way. I won’t confine myself by wearing any “brand”, blindly following any ideology. And for the record, I'm not asking for anybody’s support, I'm all grown up and dried out behind the ears. My complaint here specifically is concerning certain posters who continually blame this administration for everything. IMO they want a convenient scapegoat. As an example, let’s look to my above post concerning the fiscal commission. The current administration has turned to the ONLY folks who’ve successfully created a balanced federal budget in recent memory for suggestions leading this country out of the fiscal mess we find ourselves in now. The commission comprises folks from both parties. This certainly sounds like a common sense approach to me. This implies to me that Obama is honestly trying, but is there any credit for effort given? Sadly, no, most are still seeking their scapegoat. Watch how some will condemn this as “just political theater”, or “it isn’t genuine”, or some version of master plan hatched in Kenya to turn this country into the new socialist utopia.
Bush was only President for 32 Quarters....
Sayfu, check today's AP wire, Bernanke has some interesting things to say concerning banks and lending. Again, who controls lending?
I hope you are not referring to me. I blame liberalism. Socialism has creped into our system for years...mainly since FDR. Reagan fought it saying the enemy is Us...the big spenders in congress. It has just accelerated dramatically since Obama and the left took over.
Stimulus spending package...ObamaCare. immigration issue now, wanting a phony carbon tax., now going to dramatically raise taxes to pay for all the debt created...more debt created in a year and a half than all the 8 yrs. of Bush, at a time when tax receipts are dwindling! The guy IS a disaster.
So you are arguing that Obama did NOT place regulations on the banks via the bailout? Yes he did, and flakes are still getting easy loans to stay in homes...that has extended the housing disaster. You didn't know that ACORN threatened the banks with lawsuits if they didn't make loans to banks using the Community Re-Organizational ACt as the Law that Clinton strengthened? Remember Obama said he knew NOTHING about ACORN, wasn't familiar with ACORN until the truth came out, and then he said, "Oh yes, I did work for ACORN!!!!!"
And WAHunter is right, Bush was in office for 32 QT's and from virtually the day the Bush tax cuts were forced on Democrats, the economy grew BRISKly...like 4.5% qt. after QT. Now the democrats want to get rid of the Bush tax cuts. What do you think that will do to economic growth?
Banks do what banks do. They've been very conservative for years, and were conservative when Fanny bought up the bad loans they made removing their risk!!! If loan making isn't favorable, and it isn't for business right now because of Obama economic policy, they used the money to pad their won pockets, the fatcats. Look up the big bankers that cut deals with Obama and see what they are...most are liberals. And Blacks, that were promised the money by Obama are left holding the bag...the fatcat bankers got the cash!!!!!!
Looks to me like this thread has some liberal cops that are censoring posts.
Must think they are part of the mainstream media.
Strange, Bernanke hasn't mentioned "Obama's regulations" as hinderence to banks lending. He did say however that banks have continued to lend to large corporations but refuse to lend to small business. Proposes some incentives making lending to small business more enticing. You'd think that a dyed in the wool Republican holdover wouldn't be shy about complaining about "Obama's regs".Hmmmm.
Liberal cops that are censoring posts? Yeah, you're not paranoid at all. It's all part of the master plan.
Beautiful day out there, I'm going fishin.
Posting...Posting
posting, posting..
Posting...looks like there are liberal cops on this thread! Must think they are part of the mainstream media. lol
Hey Hoski
Like country music?
"You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything!"
You gotta git off'n that fence sometime or you'll end up in no man's land with lead flying from both directions!
Bubba
WA Mtnhunter...was right, only 32 qt's, GEEEZ! I give you nimrods 119 pts. of light, and you find something that is wrong. I shoot from the hip. Get the point. From the day the Bush tax cuts were passed the dems saying it was going to destroy the economy, the tax revenues the govts, state and fed. grew big, and the economy GREW exceptionally well...over 4% qt. after qt. Bernanke? That guy gets my big govt wrath as well. He wants to expand the powers of the fed. Reserve, and doesn't want the Fed. audited. Dems want him audited as to where the tax payer money is going. They presented GM as making a profit, and paying back the bailout...not true, the fed gave them the money to pay back some of the bailout! Loans continue to be made to flakes to keep them in their homes...about 50B $$$$ has been totally wasted doing just that, while good credit folks have trouble getting loans. There are other reasons being banks are making money sitting on the cash provided by the fed rather than making loans and taking risk....and that gets down to the govt. not realizing what happens when they interfere! The housing problem is being extended just like FDR extended the pain with his big spending programs, just like Obama is extending the pain...unemployment will stay at near 10% for a long, long time. Now we wait for the massive inflation coming. And democrats are turning against Obama. Now what can you find wrong with all of that...I'm sure there is something in there that isn't right.
Sayfu, yep! Your second sentence says it all.
FirstBubba, do you get ALL your life's answers from music? I'll just keep shootin back in all directions with the truth, Thanks.
Sayfu
I don't disagree with your points, I was just pointing out a factoid. Just like Obama campaigned in 57 states...
Well, Hoski, let's see!
"God Bless America!"
Yep, I like music!
"America, the Beautiful!"
Yep, I like music!
"Battle Hymn of the Republic!"
Yep, I like music!
Did you notice that ALL those selections have references to God in them!?
BUT!
Just like Obummer, instead of seeing my point, you try and belittle me for quoting a song that, regardless of your political standings, says TONS!!!!
What is the truth, Hoski!?
Bubba
FirstBubba, my question wasn't whether or not you liked music, it was, and remains, do you get your life's lessons from your music. Furthermore, as I recall I welcomed you and conversed in a neutral tone... until you insinuated that I should take my "queue" from a song and join somebody's side. As I’ve stated previously, I won’t blindly follow anyone just because they have an “R” or “D” next to their name, I gather as much info as I can from as many sources as I can and make up my own mind, that’s MY truth. When the belittling starts you'll know it. (guess maybe I did just a little)
Hoski
Arguing with a fool never works. It soon gets to the point where you can't tell who is who!!
Adios!!
Bubba
I think the quote your searching for is something about wrassling with pigs or something, ask Moishe. Adios, Bye Bye, Siyanara!
Hoski, I prefer you would not quote me to make a point. Thank you so much.
Hoski,
You forgot: au revoir, salut, à la prochaine, à bientôt
"United We Stand or Don't we?"
From the above posts apparently not!
Here's one 4'ya!
This Cartoon Seemed Far-Fetched In 1948
AWESOME - 1948 Cartoon - Harding College - Searcy, Arkansas
http://nationaljuggernaut.blogspot.com/2009/09/this-cartoon-seemed-far-f...
Nice touch Clay. I especially liked your post concerning your troops coming to you just saying something sucks. How much better to say something sucks, followed by something constructive besides "off with their heads"
Moishe, any co-operation on my part will be in direct coralation to your usage of pig reference when implying yours truly, regards.
I hear that the government owns part of GM even after they paid their debts. I hear that the price of cigarettes have gone up, more people cannot smoke in more places. The Green movement and Global Warming are complete scams (greed). There were even emails to other scientists to agree on global warming 'exaggerations' aka lies. Why do green products cost more? Car inspections are pointless (on newish cars, lol)! Why do I need a car inspection on my perfectly running Toyota???
Man, I understand what is going on. I use common sense. I see how the government controls too much and takes too much. They feed us fake news. You can see the control, the greed. America is free to a point. Our financial system is based on greed. Sure, I could use some more money, who couldn't? But I'm not going to take more out of others' paychecks or force them to get additional car inspections. Just awful! Just using a car has enough bills...
As for one good thing Obama did--the paycheck a lot of people got in the mail. Forget what it was called. Remember?
The answer is better use of finances. Watch what we spend. Don't be surprised when we (America) need to cut back. It happens. But complete failure of our financial system? More bills? Higher sudden prices? There is no excuse!.. besides greed, the love of money.
I am not against our government. We need control. We need to pay our dues. But it has gotten too excessive... too excessive.
Clinton 8 czars
Bush Jr. 12 czars
Obama 32 czars and counting
To answer the czar question asked several days ago.
I don't think the question is who to blame whether it be FDR, Carter, Reagen, Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr., Obama? The question is how the hell are we going to change this?
1)Fair tax
2)Cuts to medicare and medicaid
3)Make those claiming welfare do DOT jobs
4)When your removed from office ALL of your benefits stay at that office they aren't freebees'
5)Spend money where it needs to be spent and what tax dollars where initially designed to go to
6)No free trips on tax payers dollars around the world
7)Prevailing wages removed from ALL local, state, and federal jobs (No unions)
8)Use our own resources such as oil and the vast numbers of others
9)Let the American people vote on federal budget and to where it goes
10)Salary cap for all elected officials
Feel free to add these are a few that could take our debt/deficit down to several trillion in first several years and make people and our government responsible spenders.
Hoski, my Troops was driving me nutz saying sucks and trying to jump on a problem that didn't excess except they didn't want to work. My policy was simple, as soon as all the work is done and done right, everyone goes home except myself and few who didn't have anything planed. Rewards were great, even basket leave to get a Friday thru Monday off or work a half shift. Ya' I was a terrible Boss! I always loved the ones who complained about the other shift, they would be on that shift the next day and that put a screeching halt to that! Everyone was responsible for each other anr the Rank stayed outside, but if I had to bring it in? O'you don't want to go there!
Clay, Carrot and stick thing, always a good policy.
What Carrot an Stick thing, It's called accountability!
If only all men were honorable, accountable. I suppose there's always been the shifty ones. Used to be Mother Nature was allowed to run her course and weed out the undesirables, now we're civilized.
At this point, I'd settle for a few that were honorable and accountable in positions of authority...
Senator Coburn of Oklahoma has gotten a little attention lately. Would like to hear more.
For the love of Saint Andrew, Nate, get rid of Riaz!
riaz. You have been reported again nobody on here wants what your selling get a job and pay for ad space like everyone else. Now can someone please tell me why it is takeing the gov so long to clean up the gulf and why it took so long for our gov to say anything about the clean up to BP?

Are we not all Americans? Thats the "team" we should all remember.
We need to remember it is the gun owners( reguardless of what type gun we have) against the anti-gunners. You are right we can't divide ourselves or we are beat. I may not do a particular type of hunting but I need to defend it, that is the only way we as hunters are going to "win".
Divide and conquer...
I though this post was about keeping our firearms and sticking together to protect our gun rights and not to badmouth a guy because he used a particular type of firearm or he participated in a certain type of hunting. I must have missed something along the way. ( To the guy who said he had never heard anything negative about a crossbow, I hear bow hunters badmouthing crossbows everyday here in WV )
But I'll be damn if I hunt with a guy who drives a Chevy. lol.
Clay,
I had so much respect for you until you said you drive a chevy.... I'm a ford man myself. Killin me coop you're killin me haha.
Hoski,
You forgot: au revoir, salut, à la prochaine, à bientôt
Clay I have a quote for ya. "THE DAY WE LOSE THE 2nd AMENDMENT IS THE DAY WE START THE 2ND REVOLUTION" I saw that on a bumper sticker.
Got one word for you and Coop, MPN!
Cummings diesel.
Okay 2 words!
Bubba
Supreme Court
Care to shed a little light on this?
It's obvious, how can you understand the answer if you don't understand the question :/
I don't care what gun is being targeted, I'll fight for it even if I never intend to own one.
gun owners vs. anti-gun owners all right, but the gun owners have to have commonsense, or the anti's use the kooky argument to win the debate.
It is all about open debate, and the public makes the judgement. The only exception to the open debate American way is Obama who gets policy changed behind closed doors, and through the use of Czars.
Bubba,
Dodge fan huh? Well have you seen the new Ford Raptors, mighty fine truck.

"United We Stand or Don't we?"
From the above posts apparently not!
John I have a friend comin into town next week and the bass are startin to pick up cant wait. But if you and Clay are right if Obama said he does not want our guns and 2nd amendmant rights then why is he appointing all these people who are against them into office and on the supreme court?
Amen guys
Bubba
Well, Hoski, let's see!
"God Bless America!"
Yep, I like music!
"America, the Beautiful!"
Yep, I like music!
"Battle Hymn of the Republic!"
Yep, I like music!
Did you notice that ALL those selections have references to God in them!?
BUT!
Just like Obummer, instead of seeing my point, you try and belittle me for quoting a song that, regardless of your political standings, says TONS!!!!
What is the truth, Hoski!?
Bubba
Wam that was a great post, its to bad that there are people in this country that take so much for granted and do not thank those that have for this country. Thank You for your service.
Depends on the pig. Some irritate me more than others.
Bubba
Hey Hoski
Like country music?
"You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything!"
You gotta git off'n that fence sometime or you'll end up in no man's land with lead flying from both directions!
Bubba
Ive always tried to find the humor in whatever life throws my way.But these days its getting harder & harder to laugh. The government greed is just so overwhelming.Plus all the other decay going on.Like the song says,Are we rollin down hill like a snow ball headed for hell.Stand up for the Flag and lets all ring the Liberty bell.I belive theres a lot of truth in that bumpper sticker idduckhntr. But tonight after it cools down IM GOING FISHIN!
idduckhntr,Im glad the ice is finaly off the river over there.American falls is producing I hear.
buckhunter, you had me hook line and sinker!!And that last line!BWHAHAHAHAHA!!!! its a slippery slope!!You wanna hear jaws pop go out with a group of staunch Flyfishermen and hook up a big ol'night crawler...It's all good. G'night gentlemen.
WAM, great post. Thank you again for your service.
Sayfu, check today's AP wire, Bernanke has some interesting things to say concerning banks and lending. Again, who controls lending?
Nice touch Clay. I especially liked your post concerning your troops coming to you just saying something sucks. How much better to say something sucks, followed by something constructive besides "off with their heads"
Moishe, any co-operation on my part will be in direct coralation to your usage of pig reference when implying yours truly, regards.
For the love of Saint Andrew, Nate, get rid of Riaz!
WAM, you are so right!! I try not to "rassle with pig they enjoy it too much and you just get muddy.
Bubba, this is not a Democracy, that is MOB RULE, we are (SUPPOSEDLY) until the recent farcical village idiot, a Constitutional Republic, there is a very big difference.
Kannuckistan has been socialist for 50+ years. As has Britain.
Bubba
Okay, definitions aside, MY answer to your post is:
No, the current administration isn't responsible for ALL our ills.
Now, go back and read my earlier post.
At the turn of the twentieth century, America was solvent. FDR is credited with bringing the US out of the Depression. World War II brought us out of the depression with the demand in war materials.
What did FDR do?
Income Tax
Social Security
Dismantle the Gold Standard
It's been downhill from there.
Bubba
I like your logic Hoski!GREED! yes sir! they get a little bit more and a little more each time they reach into our pockets!
Only you.
Cleared the land, etc. Take half my dinner, etc. would get your butt handed to you. The pay for production question answers itself. Any production facility I'm aware of that pays per unit produced, also has tracking verifying who does what.
Moishe, thought we had come to a truce about the pig stuff, or am I mistaken?
FirstBubba, welcome.
Some time back myself and fellow posters had the definition debate, all kind of agreed everyone was right. Scroll up and see my first post on this thread, it still stands. I'm still asking fellow posters and citizens if this country's ills were brought on solely by current administration or did it develop over many.
Sayfu, please get a grip. In your rush to argue you missed FirstBubba's point altogether.
FirstBubba, I did read your first post. My welcome and definition part was directed to you, the rest was to fellow posters. Again, welcome
Strange, Bernanke hasn't mentioned "Obama's regulations" as hinderence to banks lending. He did say however that banks have continued to lend to large corporations but refuse to lend to small business. Proposes some incentives making lending to small business more enticing. You'd think that a dyed in the wool Republican holdover wouldn't be shy about complaining about "Obama's regs".Hmmmm.
Liberal cops that are censoring posts? Yeah, you're not paranoid at all. It's all part of the master plan.
Beautiful day out there, I'm going fishin.
Sayfu, yep! Your second sentence says it all.
FirstBubba, do you get ALL your life's answers from music? I'll just keep shootin back in all directions with the truth, Thanks.
(guess maybe I did just a little)
Clay, Carrot and stick thing, always a good policy.

Just might come down to that the way things are going! NOT LOL!
The administration merely wanted some true competition for the insurers?
O"BS!
Privatize the medical field, drop the restrictions of cannot cross state lines for starters!
AND TELL THE UNIONS TO GO TO HELL!
I don't know who gave Hoski the -1's, but I gave Him +1's for speaking what he believes the truth!
Recon where I stand on United We Stand or Don't we? Is obvious!
I'm not going to shoot a hole in the bottom of someones boat just because I can!
Here's one 4'ya!
This Cartoon Seemed Far-Fetched In 1948

Whew! It sure is more fun sitting on the sidelines reading this one than getting into the fray! LOL
Sic 'em, boys!
Here is something we can all get behind! If not, STFU

We were founded as a republic governed by our Constitution, not a democratic society. The terms republic and democracy have little to do with the political parties and their platforms (both of which are rotten and shaky). Constitutional Republic defines our form of government better than most other terms. Look it up.
Gump
Bush was only President for 32 Quarters....
Sayfu
I don't disagree with your points, I was just pointing out a factoid. Just like Obama campaigned in 57 states...
At this point, I'd settle for a few that were honorable and accountable in positions of authority...
riaz. You have been reported again nobody on here wants what your selling get a job and pay for ad space like everyone else. Now can someone please tell me why it is takeing the gov so long to clean up the gulf and why it took so long for our gov to say anything about the clean up to BP?
Hoski, I prefer you would not quote me to make a point. Thank you so much.
The United States of America was founded to be a Democratic (nothing to do with the political party) society.

Arguing with a fool never works. It soon gets to the point where you can't tell who is who!!
Adios!!

I think the quote your searching for is something about wrassling with pigs or something, ask Moishe. Adios, Bye Bye, Siyanara!
If only all men were honorable, accountable. I suppose there's always been the shifty ones. Used to be Mother Nature was allowed to run her course and weed out the undesirables, now we're civilized.
Senator Coburn of Oklahoma has gotten a little attention lately. Would like to hear more.
MPN, the best truck I ever owned was a 85 Toyata 4x4. Drove it to Alaska pulling a 4x4x8 trailer fully loaded, ran all around AK for 4 years in arctic conditions and pulled the same trailer back and it's still running according to the X.
Just got this email and don't know if it's authentic? But if it's true, we have a problem in Arizona.

You say Divide and conquer...
There is those who are doing a damn good job of it right here!
LOL? NOT!
WAM +1 for you, I would give you a billion but?
What Carrot an Stick thing, It's called accountability!
It's obvious, how can you understand the answer if you don't understand the question :/
Why the -1 for Sayfu, this is exactly the problem using drive by hit and run without saying why you disagree!
Sayfu does make a valid point and I give him a +1!
Divide and conquer...who?
What team are you on?
