Why are we acting like children?
Uploaded on August 09, 2009What is the cause of all the trash talk and unhealthy comments that are taking place in the "answers" portion of this site? What started all of the name calling and how can we get rid of this type of behavior so that we can concentrate on the activities that we all care about?

Good post, Liberty. If I am offended by someone's reply, I just try to ignore it. After all, the other person doesn't know me, just my comments, so it isn't really personal.
Many years ago I was told that you shouldn't wrestle with a pig because even if you win you've still got pig crap all over you and, besides, the pig enjoys it.
i dont know why people keep fighting, all it does is make us weak. we should stop worrying about eachothers differences and respect eachothers opinions. we dont want the antis to see us like this, they will use it against us. we are all on the same boat here, we love hunting, fishin, and the outdoors.
Some poeple just get VERY offended when they see they got a -1 or one of there freind get one and they start calling name's, threatning other users and "threatning" to quite the wedsight, it would be a more peacfull websight if they did what they "threaten".

Good post! I don't think the plus and minus thing should make people mad. You get a plus when you are helpful and make good comments. You get a minus when your post or comment is not helful or someone takes offense to it. Also when you're being a smart allic. If you don't care about points then who really cares about pluses and minuses. It's just nice to see if others thought your comment was helpful!
Good that you posted this, and posted here instead of in the Answers. No one wins slinging BS. Might as well be throwing it into a fan pointed right at yourself. Glad to see very few posts responding to the attempts at escalation.
Sorry for the additional post. Forgot to add the reason... bruised egos. Often a sign of courage and wisdom to just let it go.

I agree with giantwhitetails. Ive argued on this website before, and it was stupid of me. We need to let othr people live there own lives. We are all sportsman here, and if anything we need to argue about which hippie group is more retarded.good post
hunters and fishers get on this web site to pick up helpfull info to try and become better at their game. people that get on and talk crap about other members or their questions i think is a waste of everybodies time.
It's better to be silent and thought a fool, than to open my mouth and prove. Conduct in conversation it limited to the ability to limit the conversation. My abiltys are few and I often prove myself a fool, how else will I learn to Conduct a conversation with the foolish? That is my question.
