With a rifled barrel you should try sabots

ive tried sabots, they dont shoot any better than the ol' pumpkin slugs. plus sabots are at least $15 for a box... i'm a poor college boy with a kid, so 15 plus per box is out of the question

BRI .50 cal. sabots have been very accurate and powerful from my Mossberg 500. Expensive, yes, but how many are you going to need?

In my smoothbore Remington sluggers work well for about $4 a box.
