Campfire
Hello, I am new to this site and am a nature/wildlife photographer. I live in PA and last fall my shooting partner and I came upon a Black Bear feeding on a whitetail carcass. It was an amazing experience, and one I'm told is rarely if ever seen or captured in photos.
The bear did not seem fazed by us, kept on eating while looking directly at me, with the eye of the dead dear also looking in my direction as the bear tears at the flesh. We probably got too close to be honest.
This occurred in rural Northeast PA. Unfortunately, the PA Game Commission only uses photos taken by its officers. I am looking for a venue to publish these, I'm sure, once-in-a-lifetime images.
Any help here is greatly appreciated, please email me. ALSO and importantly, the bear was NOT baited, the deer was not placed and we have no idea how the bear got it: it may have been hit by a car on a dirt road nearby, hit by a hunter who lost track in bow season, or simply killed by a poacher.
Thank you,
Bill

Thank you Steve, yes, I believe I tried that once but something went wrong. I'll give it another shot (pun intended) in the next couple of days.
