I went to get some .22LR and 12ga slugs with my mom and we went to walmart and basspro and they were all sold out! I couldn't believe it, who ever heard of basspro not having .22 shells? We finale went to Dick's and they had some .22 cartridges. But no slugs.I just hope this will not go on. I've heard ammunition is getting low but we have never had any trouble. How is the stock around you?
It was pretty thin for quite a while but it's coming back slowly now. I understand it was a mix of things, Obamaphobia and resultant hoarding, munitions going to the war effort, brass and copper going to China and India via the scrap market, and that a large munitions plant had burned sometime last year.
Getting low here too. I couldnt find any slugs but managed to get some at bass pro. Our bass pro is staying stocked pretty well.
Local resources (Portland, OR) are beginning to recover, but for most of 2009 the shelves were bare of most commonly stocked cartridges and components. Things are improving, but the selection is still relatively poor. I hope this is a passing storm.
i got a lot of ammuniition around here "knock on wood" if the best president ever dosen't take it all away. (I was joking about the president thing)
We have rifle cartridges and shotgun shells, but pistol ammo is still sort of hard to find. also reloading components are hard to find here too. i live in MN
I have a pretty good supply and haven't had to buy anything for quite some time, but I'm always looking for sale prices and that means always checking ammo shelves. I haven't noticed a lack of anything, but I haven't paid too much attention, either. Are the reloading componants pretty thin too?
