If this went to jury, I would suggest forfeiture of the snowmobiles, $500 fine for each buck, $1,000 for each doe, loss of all hunting privileges, and 90-180 days of public service assigned to Fish & Game. I can think of no justification.
Run over one deer? It happens, of course. 18 deer? Clearly displays a intentional pattern of willfully destructive behavior. This is cruel and grossly irresponsible conduct that shows no regard for wildlife or for the environment they've impacted.

I have heard of this, and think that it is appalling! How ruthless does one have to be to do this? I think that they should receive jail time and be fined. To accompany these punishments, they should have their snowmobiles confiscated and all hunting/fishing rights taken away. Unfortunately this type of act always has a negative effect for both wildlife and hunters alike. It is really disappointing that one would do this to an animal.

Lifetime ban on all hunting and fishing rights,

Lifetime ban on any snowmobiles or related vehicles and jail-time served while paying off fines for each animal that was harmed.

I haven't heard about this. It's hard to understand what these people could have possibly been thinking. I have different opinions on punishment. If these guys were just three guys out killing than yes $1000 fine for each deer, 1 year jail time, 1000 hours community service to conservation department, and loss of all hunting and fishing rights. If these guys called them selves hunters then I would throw in permanent loss of thier right to own or posses a firearm.

we had some idiots run over a bunch of ducks a week later. The deer idiots got caught, but the duck morons didn't. Idiotic judge let them off, nice legal system we have hear in WI. They claimed they were deer hunting, somehow and moron judge for some reason let them go. Nothing like that to give us a major black eye. Maybe somebody should run over those idiots. Oh Deer season wasn't even open and it is illegal to use snowmobiles as weapons. Makes me proud to live in WI. NOT

These guys deserve to do time. Aside from that, a Smack-in-da-Mouth seems appropriate.
