So where do you call your neck of the woods? Do you hunt and fish there too or head elsewhere to have a little fun? Take a yearly hunting or fishing trip somewhere?

Born and raised in Michigan and have hunted here my whole life. We travel to Texas in February for hogs, bears in Canada in May.
I absolutely love to hunt and prefer my bow if given a choice.
In September of 09 I traveled to Saskatchewan and harvest an awsome bull elk, with my bow.
We fish here as we live just minutes from Lake Huron and the floodwaters are only 2 miles from our home.
Blessed to live where I do and have the great hunting and fishing that we do but I still love to travel and hunt different animals.

Walleyes and trout are my main target species but like to fish cats and smallies in the Mississip and Minnesota Rivers in the heat of the summer. Waterfowl hunting consumes me come fall and I love diggin 50 to 100 holes a day in the ice to figure out a new lake or locate the days TS. My buddies and I always have a trip in the works from the prespawn walleye river runs to trout in high mountain lakes and streams to waterfowl on the prairie potholes and Great Lakes. I love to travel anywhere and everywhere brook trout can be found. Whether that means a mountain stream on the Westslope of Montana or a beaver flowage in the Adirondacks, that's where I want to be. I love deep into the mountains along a brook trout stream, set up camp, and generally reside in paradise for a few days. It just doesn't get any better.

Mid Nebraska--on the south bank of plattle River--one mile south of interstate 80. Have some of the best hunting and fishing in the nation --don't tell anyone-lolo--Durning the year we even have a resident elk herd that goes bye our place quite often--they seem to like our cattle in the east pasture. we have both mule and white tails and all kinds of pesky little critters to keep the shooting eye sharp. You're welcome if you can find me,but, I'm 6 miles from the nearest river bridge. Oh I forgot we also have a large bunch of sandhill crane ever spring and fall.
If you want to see them try this link- they have a camera in the middle of the river turned on this time of the year---www.rowesanctuary.org----enjoy

I grew up as a trapper and trader in southeastern South Dakota. I commercially fished catfish, raised mink and trapped muskrat, beaver and mink to put myself through school. I get to SD several times a year for great hunting and fishing. I especially like the prairie dogs, antelope and pheasants and do some nice bow hunting for deer there too. mr.grouse, i'll go if i'm in MN next fall, thanks for the invite. We used to get some nice panfish out of that lake. Is that still the case? haven't fished it in a few years. didn't it suffer from a pretty bad winter kill a couple years ago? or was it an algea bloom?

Grew up in CA, WA, and AZ. After that, headed into the Army and now hunt exclusively where I am stationed in beautiful southern Germany. The roe deer here are small, but the pigs are plentiful and the Red Deer are out of this world huge! If you ever get a chance to hunt in Germany, there is a ton of ceremony and tradition, just how hunting should be!

I live in upstate, north of Syracuse, NY. We get between 200 and 400 inches of snow every year. My labrador and I hunt ducks and fish bass in this neck of the woods. I've made 20 trips into the Great White North over the years. Ak, NWT, Yukon, BC, and Alberta. Glock and I have become silver slayers with the fly rod for the last 10 years in SE Ak. Glock and I spend Aug and Sept living in the truck camper tossing flies at those great wonderful fish.

I'm from Atlanta and mostly fish there on Lake Lanier. I do a little deer and hog hunting too. I fish all over the U.S. from Hawaii to Florida and the Carabean. I'm always happy to get together with other sportsmen so let me know if you get down this way.
