Venison: America's Meat

BBQ Deer Tenderloins

Uploaded on January 17, 2010

I was just experimenting one day and I really enjoyed this recipe...hope you do too!

BBQ Tenderloins

3 T Butter, 1/2 T black pepper, 1/8 c. Hickory Smoked BBQ sauce, 1/2 t. Thyme, 1/8 c. Garlic Honey Roasted BBQ sauce, 1/2 t. Sage, 1/2 t. Garlic Salt, 2 Venison tenderloins whole and cleaned

Preheat oven to 375 F.
Place butter in the bottom of a cake pan. Mix the rest of the ingrediants together except meat. Place the venison on top of the butter in the pan. Then baste generously the sauces over them. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the middle is brown. Then broil for 3-5 minutes or until the sauces have started to caramelize. Depending on the size of tenderloins, makes about 4 servings. Enjoy!

Sounds good but i like my tenderloins only salted, peppered and seared in butter and/or Olive oil. Too tasty

I like to take a tenderloin and roll it in Southern Flavor. You can buy Southern Flavor on the internet . It is made in Selma, Alabama and can be sprinkled on anything. Back to the tenderloins. Coat the loins heavily with Southern Flavor wrap them in allum foil and put in frig for 24 hours. Take them out, leave them in foil and put them on the grill at low heat and leave them for about 2 hours. It gives a new perspective to deer steak. Slice them about 1/2 inch thick and eat them with your fingers. They are better that way.
