Newt is a classic. How the guy can create an historically factual story right off the top of his head that slams a liberal slanted question is a thing of beauty to listen to. No one can debate Newt. The only criticism he gets with his factual accounts, and solutions to problems his his no holds barred Sayfu way of saying it!!! The critics suggest he should be more politcally correct, and not offend the independent voters. Please...stick it in your ear if you do not like the facts. That results in more of the same, and what we've got. And Newt does tend to shoot himself in the foot at times, unfortunately. I say Santorum will soon follow Perry in dropping out.
Not after winning Iowa! LOL
WA MNT.
Don't think Iowa makes much difference..that's over, and he received no momentum from his Iowa finish going into New Hampshire...and now he's money strapped, and down in the polls that means no more new money....the guy probably is toast. No need to laugh about that.
Yep, Newt's a real swell.
Anybody catch the interview with wiffy #2?
Newt wanted "open" type marriage...says Calista doesn't mind.
Yep, a real moral well spring.
Certainly put that upitty Juan Williams in his place.
funny about wife two..ABC .the leftist network, wanted it to have a big impact at eliminating Newt, and clearing the way for Obama to win re-election. That has been the intent all along is to "Clear the way" It will have little impact. Their impact was stolen by other headlines, and folks are more upset with ABC and their hoski, liberal slant than they are with Newt. What slimeball woman would even give the interview? And this is the same network along with the NY Times that covered NONE of the John Edwards infedelity when his wife had cancer. You remember John Edwards right?
He who must never be responded to directly repeats Rush Limbaugh verbatim.
Don't listen to Rush, at least not for awhile, but what did Rush EVER say that you thought was incorrect?...didn't think so.
I'm surprised Perry lasted this long, wish he'd taken Ron Paul with him.
Tired of the Texas mentality. Ditto 007.
I see the Mormans are running commercials of a motorcycle mechanic with the message that it is OK to be a Mormon. Wonder what is behind all that? Bet you see more and more LDS ads mainstreaming the Mormons the closer we get to November if Mittens gets the nod.
I wonder if the DNC will run ads saying it is OK to act stupid?
There is a faction of folks that a scared of Mormans I would say. Evangelical conservatives, but I can sure see a lot of Athiest liberals playing the religious card. This will get ugly being the left is desperate to stay in power, and NOTHING to run on. From the conservative side the overwhelming theme is to throw out socialist Obama, and it will override, and concerns about Mormanism. Easy to understand that Mitt will not provide any Morman influence as President. I live in a Morman community, and had a confrontation early on, but the positives of having Mormans around you far, far outweigh the fact they'd like you to come to church with them. They are great family values people, and go out of their way to help their neighbors, Morman, or not. And they are outdoor sportsman people as well.
A past neighbor and hunting partner of mine is LDS. He is great guy even if some of his beliefs are strange to me.
It doesn't matter to me what Newt's ex-wife has to say. From my personal experience, a bitter ex-wife is one of the nastiest creatures you will ever find. They will lie and embellish to anyone who will listen in order to try and damage a good man. The best defense is to marry a better woman and enjoy the fact you're no longer stuck with such a back-stabbing snake. It looks to me that Newt traded up.
"It is better to live in a desert land than with a quarrelsome and fretful woman." ~ Proverbs 21:18-20
Good post Pighunter. And Newt's getting the endorsement of Perry, a devout Christian took some of the sting off of the liberal desire to bash Newt on the issue. I said the same thing. Why would a decent X give the interview knowing what the liberal press was after?
And the headlines to day on winners and losers...All the conservatives did well in last nites debate, and were winners. The losers? the liberal media, and liberal Ron Paul...told you that yesterday who the losers are in the crap the liberal media brings up.
A scorned ex-spouse is not my idea of a credible testimony. Ditto Pig Hunter.
Of course we don't have to depend on the rantings of a scorned woman...we have Mr. Gingrich's admittance to his womanizing past, all blamed on his devout patriotism.
Some may not care about a person's character, but I for one do.
Just something about a guy who persecutes one guy for philandering while doing so himself, all the while laying claim to being the moral voice of a nation rubs me the wrong way.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Hope everyone read that one...."I care about character" says hoski-efsky. 51% of folks get a divorse in this country, and financial problems many attributed to hoski's support for liberal policies can surely contribute to that high number. And I'm sure hoski complained bitterly about Obama, and his association we now know with a known terrorist who Obama said, "only lived in my neighborhood, and I knew little about him." Or any one of a number of poor sense of values choices Obama made, or Slick Willy's infidelity while in the PEOPLES' White House. And on, and on. Can you say hypocracy maybe? lol!
I agree with Hoski, a person's character means a lot to me and I don't think that's someone I would want to be the representative of my nation.
BS..Totally a hypocritical view given the liberal agenda hoski and the left have. The bigger picture issue is NOT a person's marriage problems, but getting rid of Obama, and more socialism that would bring us to BK given 4 more years of Obama. The liberal media is trying to clear the way of all conservative candidates so Obama can be re-elected. Have you a clue what hoski has supported?! My GAWD MAN! The biggest moral decay positions going! Valueless congressional members a list that would fill a toilet paper roll that he has supported all because they support unionism, that has been a destructive force in itself. You've been conned Bud!
Whatever, Hoski and Robertjlb33, the two of you are most likely voting for Obama again anyway. So please tell me why your opinion matters?
The current president is of the lowest personal character because he is using the force of government to steal from me, my children, and their children. The current president is putting my family at risk with his spending and regulatory policies. Anything Newt did in his personal relationships is nothing compared to how Obama has mistreated the American people! The sad thing is that you know this but you carry his water anyway...
Indeed I would pick Gingrich a hundred times over Obama, I would call Obama guilty of treason concerning the release of top secret information involving the water boarding at Guantanamo, the raising of the debt ceiling could almost go there too, I definitely don't agree with Obama's personal character. I still would like the leader and representative of our country to have a strong moral character and personal beliefs. I know people make mistakes, but I just don't trust Gingrich
PigHunter,
Yep, voting for Obama.
Must I re-post the facts concerning Obama's alleged out of control spending?
http://www.fieldandstream.com/forums/survival/american-hero-blasts-repub...
76th post down.
Those are facts, not rhetoric.
Next you can repeat the “spread the wealth” out of context quote.
Robertjlb33,
I would call Obama guilty of treason concerning the release of top secret information involving the water boarding at Guantanamo?
Just to be clear...you're under the impression that Obama released this "information"? Not hardly. Try Freedom of information act and the news media. You might look into WikiLeaks too.
Obama raising the debt limit?
You are aware that raising the debt ceiling is a fairly routine legislative occurence that usually happens dozens of time during any given Presidency? And by definition it simply means that Congress promises to provide funds for bills Congress has already created?
How many times was the debt ceiling raised during Bush administration?...7
How many times was the debt ceiling raised during Clinton administration?...4
How many times was the debt ceiling raised during Reagan administration?...17
Yes, that's seventeen times.
Who are conservative atheists supposed to vote for?
conservative atheists? They need to climb under the big tent, and join their heathen liberal friends, and quit lying about being conservative!
Hoski, I didn't read your referenced post the first time around. Reminds me of others here that like to cut and paste. Back in the summer I also made accounting related posts which showed the total irresponsibility of the president's 2012 budget and associated 10-year spending projections. The American voter will decide in November and I hope the Democrats will be thrown out of power.
Gumby, we're not electing the Pope. Go with the Republicans if you want conservatives.
You needn't be a Christian to be conservative, Prof. Sayfu.
PigHunter,
Not that it will matter to you, but that wasn't a cut and paste on my part.
Did I reference facts gleaned from various sources? Yes.
As for Democrats being thrown out...I dunno, we'll see.
I take a little solace in knowing that as a whole, Congress currently enjoys about a 14% approval rating, and I believe it's quite clear which party has made a point of being obstructionist.
I continue to do my part in spreading the word.
Can you say a certain person's bulb might just a bit dim?..obstructionist? They were sent to congress via a landslide midterm election not witnessed in decades. They were sent to obstruct. They promised to stop Obama from running up massive debt, and creating massive unemployment. And it is going to be very enjoyable to witness how many more will be sent to congress this year, and not obstruct, but actually do what they want to do...eliminate what Obama has done.
Hoski, the American voter, in the mid term election, intentionally chose Representatives who would oppose the wacky legislation coming from the Democrats. I've got no issue with them obstructing what BHO and the Democrat congressional leaders are trying to do to this country.
So why doesn't the mainstream media mention that fact. They go along with the hoski BS that congress is acting obstructionist to the wants of Obama? How about the total failure of what he has pushed through, and wants more of the same? I sure can't wait till these Nov. elections. I can't imagine the voters wanting to throw out the folks hoski points out are obstructing what Obama wants.
Your right of course PigHunter.
The midterms were campaigned on a promise of jobs jobs jobs, instead we got the usual GOP whipping post stuff, defund planned parenthood, kill SocSec, kill Medicare, and the ever popular dedication of post offices.
Hoski, that dog want hunt here. The Republican controlled House has presented bill after bill to the Senate that would help our current economy and future. Time and again, Harry Reid and the other Democrat senators have OBSTRUCTED the consideration and passage of that legislation. Time and again, BHO has OBSTRUCTED the same via the threat of veto and taking to the presidential bully pulpit. If anything, it is the Democrats who are the party of 'NO' and are obstructionist.
Won't
And obstructing the Keystone Pipeline is going to backfire big on Obama. There are democrats, the gov of Montana for one, that are bent on getting around Obama...BS on his saying "the Canadians can re-apply for a permit." They have a pathway from Montana to the Gulf already Ok'd and lots of studies conducted on it when Obama says "more study is needed" They will build it, and it can then be connected with Canada later. Meanwhile, lots of good paying USA jobs are created, and lots of tax revenue for the states that desperately need it is created.
