Uploaded on March 09, 2010

Hey can anyone help me out? I've been trying to find out what you guys think the best baits and lures for bass are. Any replies probably will be helpful

topwater, plstic worms/frogs, spinner baits, shallow diving plug/crainkbaits, deep diving plugs/crainkbaits, lipless crankbaits, jigs, jigs and pigs, suspending lures, soft and hard bodied jerkbaits, spoons. my fav by far is tossing a super spook jr or skitter walk, the explosive blowups when bass hit these baits are unforgetable. The cheapest and best bait for beginging bass fishermen is the Texas rigged worm thrown and retrieved with slow upsweeps of the rod waiting for any tap tap or visual lie movement, if no bite after the rod is straight up reel down and slow lift again. when the lines moves, pulls or you feel the tap tap, set the hook like you're trying to pull the fishes mouth off its head. good luck and good fishing,

Cgull nailed it. I am a big fan of senkos also. Try some of those out, and wacky rig them (hook them straight through the middle). Toss them out, let them sink with a slack line, maybe twitch it a couple times, and let them sink again. Fish will bite on the fall.
Hope this helps

Rattle L traps, rapala minnows, shad crankbaits, red spinner baits, hula poppers, texas rig, jitterbugs, mepps 3, classic spinners, yellow wormed jigs, and they are so many more combinations that I use. These have what caught me many fish.

I asked a question about my Rebel Crickhopper and Bumblebug. The Crickhopper seems to be the favorite. Haven't got out to try it myself yet, but the other say it works great!

If you're into live bait- I have yet to see a bass pass on a shiner, and big bass like a medium/smallish sized brim. If you like artificials- probably anything resembling a worm will work decently well.
