Bass Fishing
new rod and reel for little one
Uploaded on January 28, 2012Hello, Was just looking throught the newest Bass pro shops catalog, and I saw these trigger spins... I have had a lot of bad luck with spinning reels for my young one, they always seem to miss catching the line.... Do these trigger lines do as they say? are they worth buying for a 5 year old?

The trigger spinners do work as advertised. But for a 5 year old, I would go to Walmart and buy a $20 Zebco push-button rod and reel combo with GI Joe or Barbie on it. That way, you're not out anything when they drop it in the drink.
i agree with fezzant. a zebco 33 is perfect for a 5 year old. once they are a bit older then you can progress towrd the spinning gear
