Rod Tip Protection

Uploaded on January 20, 2012

Attention ALL Fishermen. Save your plastic Bread Clips when the Bread is finished. The Plastic Clips that come with the product makes an excellent rod tip protector. Just slide the Plastic Clip over the rod tip when multi-piece rod is being stowed away. Just clip the rod parts together as this keeps the tip protected. It also helps the enviroment instead of these going to the landfill. You just can't have enough around to protect your rods.

Got a much better one that fits all sizes of rods. The clips are brittle, hard, and will break after a short use. WalMart sells a little black plastic gizmo that you can thread a thin stretchy cord through it, and draw up the cord, and it stays put. It is the little plastic thingamabob in clothing, the easy draw cord gizzmo. I don't know what they call them. I buy them 2 in a pack for about $ 1.50. Loop your cord around the rod pieces, and draw up the cord. Soft of the rod, and they stay locked in place. Easy to release, and they last a long time. I saw the idea in an advertisement giving you 4 of them, I believe, IF you bought their product. I use to use rubber bands that broke on me all the time.
