Bass Fishing
Hello,
I am looking for some good advice from the outdoors crowd. We have a startup at www.ThrillOn.com that caters to outdoor enthusiasts. Thrill On is all about giving folks the best deals on gear and adventures like hunting and fishing. Can you please give me some input on some areas to spend our marketing money to increase our membership base? I am interested in getting your feedback on things like what magazines you read besides F&S, what websites you visit, your favorite outfitters, and anything else that might help out our marketing team. We are growing like a weed, but every new member helps! Thanks so much for all the good advice!
Bryan
Chances are, a google search will lead you to where others are going.
Would be a lot better if you didn't have to log in to access the site. You may not be obligated to do anything but requiring a username/password sure makes people feel that way.
I agree with the login. clicked on your link in this message, but never got past the login. Having no idea what your company is or what you do, I certainly wouldn't provide my personal information just to find out. I'd rather move on and forget I ever saw it... That's just this one person's reaction when viewing the site for the first time.
I agree with the others about the log in. It really makes no sense to ask for my help/input, and then provide a link that requires a log in for me to even find out what your company is all about.
Bryan, good luck on your start-up of Thrill On. It's going to be a hard road for you if you don't get more products / adventures. Others here are probably like me and already have their favorite retailers and web sites for outdoor purchases. Just looking at your site I don't see anything related to hunting and only one offering of a fishing adventure. Perhaps this site is the wrong place to start for potential customers. I suggest concentrating your first efforts at marketing to those more interested in outdoor activities not related to hunting. Maybe hiking, climbing, and cycling sites/publications would be a better place to put your marketing efforts.
maybe concentrate some of your marketing to individuals who can't afford the high prices other retailers charge. the prices on outdoor gear has gotten out of control. and i also don't like to have to register just to see what your company is all about.
"growing like a weed" ?
and don't know?
RED FLAG!
Something isn't right here!
Something is very fishy here!!!
