Bass Fishing

Fish Hogs

Uploaded on January 31, 2009

I took my kids ice fishing a while ago to a local water. We spent about three hours trying different locations with hardly a nibble.
At our last location I saw another guy pulling up crappie after crappie. I went over to him and chatted for a few minutes, then asked him what he was catching the fish on. He shut his lips so tight that they turned white. He wouldn't even look at me anymore.
What, does he think that he owns all the fish in the lake and he gives us his secret, we will steal them all?
I like sharing what's biting with others. Let's let everyone have a good time.
Maybe he was using illegal bait.

I could not agree more, I share my techniques and tips with anyone who asks, it's more enjoyable to see everyone catching fish and having a good time, especially when youngsters are involved.

Some people are like that though, they are so nervous about sharing techniques that they become rude, probably why he was fishing alone.

This was on a public water stocked with fish that were raised in a hatchery on the funds provided by license purchases. WE all own the fish equally, but this guy seemed to think they were al his.
