17 lb. Amberjack. Small for an amberjack, but when you're bottom fishin with 60 lb. line and the drag cranked down all the way, it tries to pull your arms off. The fish I am most proud of was a 21 inch rainbow caught right at daybreak. It was nice to finally be the guy to catch the big one on opening day.

Got a 21.5" bass last summer next to some DOT guys replacing a bridge. I think that tops a similar, unmeasured fish at Cooperstown, N.Y., when I was a kid. The one last summer wasn't weighed, because I don't own a scale, but after I had it on the stringer, the DOT guy told me, "You've got him now, you can stop shaking."

48" Northern Pike. I don't know how much it weighed because I was too concerned about getting it back into the water to weigh it. It was my first pike I ever caught.

My biggest fish was a 150 pound butter fly ray. I fought it for 45 minutes and it took me 100 yards down the beach. when I got it to shore the width of its wings was 6 feet across. It was huge.

My biggest saltwater fish was a 300 lb. Blue Marlin caught off the coast of St. Thomas in May '07. My biggest freshwater fish was a 36 inch Northern Pike pictured on the left which I caught in May '08. Come to think of it, I'm making sure I get myself out on the water as much as possible this May.

The biggest bass I ever caught was 11.7LBS on topwater in the HarneyPond area of Lake Okeechobee, and I released her to fight another day, the biggest overall fish was a 70LBS flathead on the upperend of the Chattahoochee River in GA on a live BlueGill. A 26LBS Striper on the same river on topwater. And a 9.4LBS Smallmouth on Milford Lake in Kansas on a 4inch pumkinseed tube TX Rigged in Arpil 04 after returning from IRAQ, i released her as well. If you are looking for a great Midwest Smallmouth lake Milford is it, there is tons of smallies from 2 to 4 pounds and several over 5lbs.
