Not sure if international fishing counts, but I landed a 45 lb 4'6" dorado off the coast of Baja California when I was 10. My stepfather was my anchor and it took about an hour to land. My freshwater record is a 39" 18lb steelhead from the Deschutes just this last summer.

17 lb. Amberjack. Small for an amberjack, but when you're bottom fishin with 60 lb. line and the drag cranked down all the way, it tries to pull your arms off. The fish I am most proud of was a 21 inch rainbow caught right at daybreak. It was nice to finally be the guy to catch the big one on opening day.
15 pound channel cat in a private pond.
26" Brown at the North Fork of the White River while my friend was playing Deep River Blues on the bank of the river. I holler'd at him when I hooked into it, he said it did a tailstand that whent above my head!

20 inch Channel Cat, but I plan to do better!
flytie...Darn! I tell that to students in school, and thought it was fairly new. I do have a picture that I show students in school of my buddy holding up a King Salmon caught on WASH ST.'s Olympic Peninsula on 12 lb test, and a steelhead rod using bait casting reels. They always want to delay getting to work, and someone will try to get me going by asking "What's the biggest fish you ever caught?" The photo is nothing short of incredible. I got low, and angled up the shot, and it appears to be a fish almost as tall as my 6'1" buddy. Those were the days I will never forget. An old flop house motel we would stay in near the ocean beach,..rough put-ins of our driftboat down an old logging road onto the gravel bar and launch..going down river in the dark my buddy holding a flashlight so I could see what the rushing water was all about, and avoid a tree in the water...then anchor up in a drift with these large kings surface rolling around that we could hear waiting for it to get light enough to cast. A seal might pop his head up in the hole chasing these kings up river from the salt. We were just a few miles from the salt water.
