To stop missing bites because you have a large rod spread,clip a bobber to the eye of an off-set worm hook and cast,then put it over the line near the middle of the rod between two of the line-guides,the pull it down about a foot.If you see the bobber go up or jiggle around you got a hit.
*I find it ironic because,instead of the bobber going down it goes up when you get a hit.Just a thought.
