Uploaded on April 29, 2010

I am pretty new here, just been checking things out. Are there any catfishermen here?

I dont rod and reel for cats but my son does. I'll run some limb lines and trout lines a few times a year but I dont have the patience to rod and reel for cats. I have caught quite a few cats on lures and that's always and eye opener.

Yes sir. I fish mostly below the lock and dam near alton illinois. world record blue cat was caught in these waters where the missouri and missiissippi converge. biggest so far has been 52 pounds. Use mostly skip jack, herring and shap that I catch with a cast net.

Trott lines with shad/bream on the Arkansas River, the smaller catfish are excellent eating, and pole fishing is excellent.
