Well catfish feed at night. I don't know how much they bite in the fall, but if you do want to night fish foe catfish get a good start a about 8:00. The best baits for me are shrimp, liver, hotdogs and chubs. Good luck!!

bass. i agree with hawg daddy.i prefer buzzbaits or heddon torpedos. cast right along the bank or over beds. poppers work too. black is the best color becuz from underwater, the surface is silver because of moonlight, therefore black sticks out. In daytime, surface is dark, so lighter patterns stick out.

OK THIS IS IT!

SUN-SET TILL YOU HAVE HAD ENOUGH
CALM WATER
ANYTIME BUT A FULL MOON IS JUST THE BEST!! for big fish and having fun

1. Medium action spinning rods / 8lb test maxima ultra green line/hat light/pliers/net!
2. JITTER BUGS (medium to large sizes)(jointed and straight and a jitterbug with skirts)
3. Jitterbug colors(silver or paint an old one CROME)(blue back/orange white belly)(BLACK!!!!!!)

As the sun starts getting low use the blueback/light belly - throw toward shore, rocks. and cover -- at dusk use silver or crome --- darkness use BLACK throw to the same spots - also pick coves or flats where the water is shallow. Throw out the bug wait (count to 6) give the bug a little twitch (count to 6) start bug back to boat or shore!! cast in semi-circles- don't just throw and go -- NOT uncommon to throw to the same area 3 or 4 times before they hit -- It's night GET THEM PO'D!

REMEMBER let the fish set the hook!!!!!! AFTER DARK all your going to hear is a SPLASH - Do Not react to the splash -- a bass may hit the jitterbug 3 to 5 times before getting it!!

ALSO THE MOST IMPORTANT - do not be fooled the BIGGER THE BASS the the softer the hit and lighter the splash!! (pay attention after the hook set)

In between you can also throw TINY TORPEDOS (smallmouth LOVE THEM)!

HOLD ON TIGHT - this is a lot of fun - BRING YOUR HEART PILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I go in the dead of the summer - late spring - and especially early fall
