Fishing
today i noticed on espn outdoors webites that there was a article about obama plannign a recreational fishing ban and that not many people have know about this so im tryin to get this out there cause this would not only effect the fisherman it would effect people who work with fish on a daily basis for a living so spread this around for people to know about we are the only ones who can speak out against this i may only be 15 but i have a storng passion for fishign and dont want to see it get wreck to where i can fish anymore in my life
http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/saltwater/news/story?id=4975762 heres the link for the article
whoa! thats compeletly bull (explicit) that would make me so mad if that president took away fishing. Im also 15 and would hate to go the rest of my life without fishing and thank you for trying to spread the word and give the link. im gonna look into this.
The ESPN article is just bad journalism and simply panders -- successfully, apparently -- to our conspiratorial fears . There is *no* danger of a recreational fishing ban -- that issue is not on anyone's table. I encourage F&S to provide more accurate and responsible coverage of this issue.

GanzAndere, an article on Associated Content is hardly enough to assuage the mistrust recreational (not to mention commercial) anglers have for the Pew Environment Group and "Transition Green," which has effectively set the stage for the Obama Administration's fisheries policies. We've seen big bites taken out of the recreational red snapper fishery in federal waters along the Texas coast, bullying from the Feds about Texas' state snapper limit, and the appeals of recreational anglers have fallen on completely DEAF ears. There is no cause for believing that recreational fishing is in trouble across the board, but if you don't think fishing for certain species and in certain waters can't or won't be SHUT DOWN, you're simply wrong.
Jane Lubchenco at NOAA and her cronies at PEW are something that should raise the hair on all recreational anglers' heads, not to mention the fact that this administration will kill commercial fishing as we know it, if they haven't already.
This obama nut job should be thrown out of office along with his left wing crew now i heard it all obama aint taking nothing away from me thats all i have to say he can kiss my ass
he is un american people like him are screwing up our country and we dont have to stand for it and do something about it he makes me sick

you must be a left wing who gave me thumbs down you jerk
hey obama wanna go fishing he he
fortunately some sanity is re-emerging in the conversation:
"Today, ESPNOutdoors.com Executive Editor Steve Bowman acknowledged that "we made several errors in the editing and presentation of this installment.... [and] this particular column was not properly balanced and failed to represent contrary points of view."

NO GOOD can come from any involvement of Obama with hunting or fishing!
who would give you guys a -1? I give you all +1 and thats pretty funny some of them...got a good laugh . Also i agree with the people who hate him
Wow, a little feisty there folks.
This is all fear mongering. 0% chance of any ban on sport fishing with the possible exception of isolated off-shore spawning areas.
Man Sentenced to Death.......for fishing. Sounds about right
As usual, all it takes is one person of low level information to bring out the rest of his ilk as they escalate fear and loathing to near seditious behavior. Sadly, this Field & Stream sponsored, but not administered properly, Subscriber Forum is, once again, off-topic which leads to offensive commentary.
